Book Pseudo Differential Operators

Download or read book Pseudo Differential Operators written by M. Taylor and published by Springer. This book was released on 2006-12-08 with total page 160 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: These notes are based on the lectures given on partial differential equations at the University of Michigan during the winter semester of 1972, with some extensions. The students to whom these lectures were addressed were assumed to have knowledge of elementary functional analysis, the Fourier transform, distribution theory, and Sobolev spaces, and such tools are used without comment. In this monography, we develop one tool, the calculus of pseudo differential operators, and apply it to several of the main problems of partial differential equations.

Book Lectures on Pseudo Differential Operators

Download or read book Lectures on Pseudo Differential Operators written by Alexander Nagel and published by Princeton University Press. This book was released on 2015-03-08 with total page 167 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The theory of pseudo-differential operators (which originated as singular integral operators) was largely influenced by its application to function theory in one complex variable and regularity properties of solutions of elliptic partial differential equations. Given here is an exposition of some new classes of pseudo-differential operators relevant to several complex variables and certain non-elliptic problems. Originally published in 1979. The Princeton Legacy Library uses the latest print-on-demand technology to again make available previously out-of-print books from the distinguished backlist of Princeton University Press. These editions preserve the original texts of these important books while presenting them in durable paperback and hardcover editions. The goal of the Princeton Legacy Library is to vastly increase access to the rich scholarly heritage found in the thousands of books published by Princeton University Press since its founding in 1905.

Book Pseudo differential Operators Singularities Applications

Download or read book Pseudo differential Operators Singularities Applications written by IUrii Vladimirovich Egorov and published by Birkhauser. This book was released on 1997 with total page 349 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book grew out of lecture notes based on the DMV seminar "Pseudo- Differential Operators, Singularities, Applications" held by the authors in Reisenburg-GA1/4nzburg, 12a "19 July 1992. The modern theory of elliptic boundary value problems in domains having conical or edge singularities on the boundary as well as the classical theory of elliptic boundary value problems and the original Kondratiev theory are presented. This material forms the foundation for the second part of the book which contains a new construction of pseudo-differential operators with symbols corresponding to the singularities of the boundary of different dimensions. This allows in particular to obtain complete asymptotic expansions of solutions near these singularities.

Book Boundary Value Problems and Markov Processes

Download or read book Boundary Value Problems and Markov Processes written by Kazuaki Taira and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2009-06-30 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is a thorough and accessible exposition on the functional analytic approach to the problem of construction of Markov processes with Ventcel’ boundary conditions in probability theory. It presents new developments in the theory of singular integrals.

Book Selected Papers of Alberto P Calderon with Commentary

Download or read book Selected Papers of Alberto P Calderon with Commentary written by Alberto P. Calderón and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2008 with total page 686 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Alberto Calderon was one of the leading mathematicians of the twentieth century. His fundamental, pioneering work reshaped the landscape of mathematical analysis. This volume presents a wide selection from some of Calderon's most influential papers. They range from singular integrals to partial differential equations, from interpolation theory to Cauchy integrals on Lipschitz curves, from inverse problems to ergodic theory. The depth, originality, and historical impact of these works are vividly illustrated by the accompanying commentaries by some of today's leading figures in analysis. In addition, two biographical chapters preface the volume. They discuss Alberto Calderon's early life and his mathematical career.

Book Pseudo differential Operators

Download or read book Pseudo differential Operators written by Luigi Rodino and published by American Mathematical Soc.. This book was released on 2007-11-21 with total page 432 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This volume is based on lectures given at the workshop on pseudo-differential operators held at the Fields Institute from December 11, 2006 to December 15, 2006. The two main themes of the workshop and hence this volume are partial differential equations and time-frequency analysis. The contents of this volume consist of five mini-courses for graduate students and post-docs, and fifteen papers on related topics. Of particular interest in this volume are the mathematical underpinnings, applications and ramifications of the relatively new Stockwell transform, which is a hybrid of the Gabor transform and the wavelet transform. The twenty papers in this volume reflect modern trends in the development of pseudo-differential operators.
