This book was released on 2024-02-21 with total page 220 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Resilience in healthcare organizations is a complex issue, involving all stakeholders in the healthcare field. It is a highly topical issue, even more so in the wake of the recent health crisis. This book explores the impact of collective intelligence on the resilience of these organizations, and the role played by innovation. Health organizations comprise the structures and systems involved in treating patients, as well as healthcare professionals with medical, social or medico-social expertise, along with institutional and administrative players in the field. Innovation, Collective Intelligence and Resiliency in Healthcare Organizations alternates between theoretical readings and illustrative case studies. Their diversity is the result of their contributors: university researchers, institutional players from healthcare authorities, practicing caregivers in hospital structures or healthcare coordination support systems, and managers of healthcare structures and systems.

Book Management public

Download or read book Management public written by Robert Holcman and published by Dunod. This book was released on 2014-10-08 with total page 325 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book How Computers Entered the Classroom 1960 2000

Download or read book How Computers Entered the Classroom 1960 2000 written by Carmen Flury and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2023-06-19 with total page 292 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the history of education, the question of how computers were introduced into European classrooms has so far been largely neglected. This edited volume strives to address this gap. The contributions shed light on the computerization of education from a historical perspective, by attending closely to the different actors involved – such as politicians, computer manufacturers, teachers, and students –, political rationales and ideologies, as well as financial, political, or organizational structures and relations. The case studies highlight differences in political and economic power, as well as in ideological reasoning and the priorities set by different stakeholders in the process of introducing computers into education. However, the contributions also demonstrate that simple cold war narratives fail to capture the complex dynamics and entanglements in the history of computers as an educational technology and a subject taught in schools. The edited volume thus provides a comprehensive historical understanding of the role of education in an emerging digital society.

Download or read book Management des organisations publiques written by Denis Proulx and published by PUQ. This book was released on 2008 with total page 350 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Zoo written by Eric Baratay and published by Reaktion Books. This book was released on 2004 with total page 412 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Wild animals have fascinated human observers since time immemorial. The story of our interest in collecting, classifying and dominating Nature so that its inner workings could be understood also looms large in the history of science, and thus it is surprising that the history of menageries, zoological gardens and the zoo as we know it today has been so poorly documented. This gap is addressed by Zoo, a comprehensive history of the zoo in the Western world.

This book was released on 2019-11-08 with total page 322 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: World War I created a set of forces that affected the political arrangements and economies of all the countries involved. This period in global economic history between World War I and II offers rich material for studying international monetary and sovereign debt policies. Debt and Entanglements between the Wars focuses on the experiences of the United States, United Kingdom, four countries in the British Commonwealth (Australia, New Zealand, Canada, Newfoundland), France, Italy, Germany, and Japan, offering unique insights into how political and economic interests influenced alliances, defaults, and the unwinding of debts. The narratives presented show how the absence of effective international collaboration and resolution mechanisms inflicted damage on the global economy, with disastrous consequences.

Book Public Health and Economic Resiliency in the Post COVID 19 Era

Download or read book Public Health and Economic Resiliency in the Post COVID 19 Era written by Kahime, Kholoud and published by IGI Global. This book was released on 2021-10-15 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The COVID-19 pandemic has affected individuals and caused destabilization of households and business activities. In emerging economies, many sectors and companies, especially small and medium enterprises (SMEs), are severely influenced by the reduction or cessation of economic activity. Overcoming the COVID-19 virus and allowing the world to heal will allow the economy to grow more resilient. First, however, we must understand that old managerial practices can no longer generate competitive advantage in the post-pandemic world. Public Health and Economic Resiliency in the Post-COVID-19 Era presents epidemiological studies of the COVID-19 pandemic, identifies the impacts it has on human health, and analyzes the impacts on public health and economy. This management tool also discusses the socio-economic human vulnerability related to the COVID-19 pandemic. Covering topics such as risk analysis, quality management systems, and therapeutic systems, this book is a dynamic resource for academic researchers and investigators, university professors, students, epidemiologists, health professionals, economists, managers, sociologists, physicians, policymakers, government officials, and academicians.
