Book The Cause of Menopause Mercury Is Not a Planet

Download or read book The Cause of Menopause Mercury Is Not a Planet written by Toby L. Murray RMT and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2015-07-25 with total page 52 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In this work Toby L. Murray RMT connects human anatomy and physiology to the Inverse Square Law and the Biological Tides Theory in support of the hypothesis that the Moons gravity generates a `Monthly Cranial Respiration Cycle` in cerebral spinal fluid which induces the secretion of neuro-endocrine hormones thus regulating bodily functions such as menstruation. This hypothesis further proposes that as the Moon steadily moves further away from Earth in a process known as the Lunar-recession the Monthly Cranial Respiration Cycle diminishes leading to conditions such as menopause, disease, and aging in-general. The author combines the ideas of the late astronomers Drs. Thomas Van Flandern and Robert Harrington with Newtonian Mechanics and General Relativity to demonstrate that Mercury is the moon to the planet Venus which separated from Venus in a process similar to the Moons recession from Earth. The resulting new models of the solar and planetary systems are that of atoms of eight `life essential` elements with properties belonging to the group of non-metals on the Periodic Table of Elements.

Book Aristarchos of Samos the Polymath

Download or read book Aristarchos of Samos the Polymath written by Alberto G. Gomez and published by Author House. This book was released on 2014-11 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Of all the giants on whose shoulders we stand, Aristarchos of Samos, the ancient Greek all-rounder, has proved to be especially tall: no one else (not even Einstein, to mention an iconic figure) has ever discovered anything (of like importance) that took so long to dawn on the rest of humanity. His achievement was extraordinary: with nothing more than the naked eye and the mind of a genius, he got to know the Sun's distance better than anyone else before, and he put the Earth in motion around the Sun for the first time in human awareness. The present book examines what history has spared of him and invites the reader to relive astronomy's finest hour.

Book Made in China

Download or read book Made in China written by Amelia Pang and published by Algonquin Books. This book was released on 2021-02-02 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A Most-Anticipated Book of the Year: Newsweek * Refinery29 “Timely and urgent . . . Pang is a dogged investigator.” —The New York Times “Moving and powerful.” —Chris Hedges, Pulitzer Prize–winning journalist and author Discover the truth behind the discounts. In 2012, an Oregon mother named Julie Keith opened up a package of Halloween decorations. The cheap foam headstones had been five dollars at Kmart, too good a deal to pass up. But when she opened the box, something shocking fell out: an SOS letter, handwritten in broken English. “Sir: If you occassionally buy this product, please kindly resend this letter to the World Human Right Organization. Thousands people here who are under the persicuton of the Chinese Communist Party Government will thank and remember you forever.” The note’s author, Sun Yi, was a mild-mannered Chinese engineer turned political prisoner, forced into grueling labor as punishment for campaigning for the freedom to join a forbidden meditation movement. He was imprisoned alongside petty criminals, civil rights activists, and tens of thousands of others the Chinese government had decided to “reeducate,” carving foam gravestones and stitching clothing for more than fifteen hours a day. In Made in China, investigative journalist Amelia Pang pulls back the curtain on Sun’s story and the stories of others like him, including the persecuted Uyghur minority group, whose abuse and exploitation is rapidly gathering steam. What she reveals is a closely guarded network of laogai—forced labor camps—that power the rapid pace of American consumerism. Through extensive interviews and firsthand reportage, Pang shows us the true cost of America’s cheap goods and shares what is ultimately a call to action—urging us to ask more questions and demand more answers from the companies we patronize.

Book Star Gods of the Maya

Download or read book Star Gods of the Maya written by Susan Milbrath and published by University of Texas Press. This book was released on 2010-01-01 with total page 558 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A prodigious work of unmatched interdisciplinary scholarship” on Maya astronomy and religion (Journal of Interdisciplinary History). Observations of the sun, moon, planets, and stars played a central role in ancient Maya lifeways, as they do today among contemporary Maya who maintain the traditional ways. This pathfinding book reconstructs ancient Maya astronomy and cosmology through the astronomical information encoded in Pre-Columbian Maya art and confirmed by the current practices of living Maya peoples. Susan Milbrath opens the book with a discussion of modern Maya beliefs about astronomy, along with essential information on naked-eye observation. She devotes subsequent chapters to Pre-Columbian astronomical imagery, which she traces back through time, starting from the Colonial and Postclassic eras. She delves into many aspects of the Maya astronomical images, including the major astronomical gods and their associated glyphs, astronomical almanacs in the Maya codices and changes in the imagery of the heavens over time. This investigation yields new data and a new synthesis of information about the specific astronomical events and cycles recorded in Maya art and architecture. Indeed, it constitutes the first major study of the relationship between art and astronomy in ancient Maya culture. “Milbrath has given us a comprehensive reference work that facilitates access to a very broad and varied body of literature spanning several disciplines.” ―Isis “Destined to become a standard reference work on Maya archeoastronomy . . . Utterly comprehensive.” —Andrea Stone, Professor of Art History, University of Wisconsin, Milwaukee

Book The Early Laps of Stock Car Racing

Download or read book The Early Laps of Stock Car Racing written by Betty Boles Ellison and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2014-09-17 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The first organized, sanctioned American stock car race took place in 1908 on a road course around Briarcliff, New York--staged by one of America's early speed mavens, William K. Vanderbilt, Jr. A veteran of the early Ormond-Daytona Beach speed trials, Vanderbilt brought the Grand Prize races to Savannah, Georgia, the same year. What began as a rich man's sport eventually became the working man's sport, finding a home in the South with the infusion of moonshiners and their souped-up cars. Based in large part on statements of drivers, car owners and others garnered from archived newspaper articles, this history details the development of stock car racing into a megasport, chronicling each season through 1974. It examines the National Association for Stock Car Automobile Racing's 1948 incorporation documents and how they differ from the agreements adopted at NASCAR's organization meeting two months earlier. The meeting's participants soon realized that their sport was actually owned by William H.G. "Bill" France, and its consequential growth turned his family into billionaires. The book traces the transition from dirt to asphalt to superspeedways, the painfully slow advance of safety measures and the shadowy economics of the sport.
