C'est autour de cette question que les XIIe Journées Internationales de Sociologie du Travail ont rassemblé les chercheurs à Nancy les 24, 25 et 26 juin 2009 les conviant à débattre des formes et structures du salariat. Deux opus en ont été tirés. De la construction sociale du rapport salarial tente de saisir non seulement le jeu social complexe des " acteurs " aux logiques différentes, mais aussi le poids des institutions, des accords politiques, des trajectoires sociétales... et leurs conséquences sur différentes composantes du rapport salarial. Ce premier tome procède par un détour par l'histoire et aborde le salariat par certaines de ses frontières, avant d'en faire le pivot de la compréhension de la dynamique et des crises du capitalisme par le traitement de la double transformation de l'organisation du travail et des structures mêmes des entreprises. Les formes contemporaines du rapport salarial sont données à voir à travers les relations professionnelles, les systèmes d'emploi et les salaires ; l'appréhension de leurs mutations met au jour certaines évolutions significatives du processus de socialisation de l'activité de production sous le capitalisme.
