Le contexte général de ce travail est donc l’Union Européenne. En effet, la Finlande est un pays membre de l’UE. En fonction de cet environnement, mais aussi de sa position nationale propre, ce travail va essayer de répondre à la question générale : Quelles sont les spécificités de la Finlande en matière de temps de travail ? Afin de répondre à la question centrale qui motive notre démarche, nous allons d’abord partir de l’état des lieux chiffré du temps de travail en Finlande. Cette étape permettra de dresser un portrait général de la situation actuelle du temps de travail de la Finlande, ainsi que de mettre en avant certaines évolutions frappantes. Cette partie nous permettra de partir d’une situation concrète. Dans un second temps, nous expliquerons clairement le contexte politico-institutionnel de ce pays, car il est important d’en avoir une bonne compréhension pour appréhender la manière par laquelle les lois relatives au temps de travail entrent en actions. A partir de la réglementation sur le temps de travail, nous nous pencherons sur ce qui en fait est une particularité de la Finlande. Ce dernier point va nous guider sur un dernier champ d’investigation à partir duquel nous dégagerons la spécificité de la Finlande à savoir celui des conventions collectives et des relations industrielles. Enfin, nous aurons une image précise de l’organisation du temps de travail en Finlande. Nous pourrons notamment voir dans quelle mesure la Finlande suit la directive européenne, mais aussi connaître les spécificités de l’aménagement finlandais du temps de travail en termes de lois et de conventions collectives.
