Book Des comp tences pour l application

Download or read book Des comp tences pour l application written by Jean-Marc Monteil and published by PUG. This book was released on 2001 with total page 474 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Applications of Social Psychology

Download or read book Applications of Social Psychology written by Joseph P. Forgas and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-01-23 with total page 561 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book explores what social psychology can contribute to our understanding of real-life problems and how it can inform rational interventions in any area of social life. By reviewing some of the most recent achievements in applying social psychology to pressing contemporary problems, Forgas, Crano, and Fiedler convey a fundamentally optimistic message about social psychology’s achievements and prospects. The book is organized into four sections. Part I focuses on the basic issues and methods of applying social psychology to real-life problems, discussing evolutionary influences on human sociability, the role of psychological ‘mindsets’ in interpreting reality, and the use of attitude change techniques to promote adaptive behaviors. Part II explores the applications of social psychology to improve individual health and well-being, including managing aggression, eating disorders, and improving therapeutic interactions. Part III turns to the application of social psychology to improve interpersonal relations and communication, including attachment processes in social relationships, the role of parent-child interaction in preventing adolescent suicide, and analyzing social relations in legal settings and online social networks. Finally, Part IV addresses the question of how social psychology may improve our understanding of public affairs and political behavior. The book will be of interest to students and academics in social psychology, and professionals working in applied settings.

Book Time Perspective Theory Review Research and Application

Download or read book Time Perspective Theory Review Research and Application written by Maciej Stolarski and published by Springer. This book was released on 2014-11-05 with total page 555 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about time and its powerful influence on our personal and collective daily life. It presents the most comprehensive and up-to-date overview of contemporary knowledge on temporal psychology inspired by Zimbardo's work on Time Perspective (TP). With contributions from renowned and promising researchers from all over the globe, and at the interface of social, personality, cognitive and clinical psychology, the handbook captures the breadth and depth of the field of psychological time. Time perspective, as the way people construe the past, the present and the future, is conceived and presented not only as one of the most influential dimensions in our psychological life leading to self-impairing behaviors, but also as a facet of our person that can be de-biased and supportive for well-being and happiness. Written in honor of Philip G. Zimbardo on his 80th birthday and in acknowledgement of his leading role in the field, the book contains illustrations of the countless studies and applications that his theory has stimulated, and captures the theoretical, methodological and practical pathways he opened by his prolific research.

Book Disability and Social Representations Theory

Download or read book Disability and Social Representations Theory written by Vinaya Manchaiah and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2019-05-30 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Disability and Social Representations Theory provides theoretical and methodological knowledge to uncover the public perception of disabilities. Over the last decade there has been a significant shift from body to environment, and the relation between the two, when understanding the phenomenon of disabilities. The current trend is to view disabilities as the outcome of this interaction; in short from a biopsychosocial perspective. This has called for research based on frameworks that incorporate both the body and the environment. There is a great corpus of knowledge of the functions of a body, and a growing corpus of environmental factors such as perceptions among specific groups of persons towards disabilities. However, there is a lack of knowledge of the perception of disabilities from a general population. This book offers an insight into how we can broaden our understanding of disability by using Social Representations Theory, with specific examples from studies on hearing loss. The authors highlight that attitudes and actions are outcomes of a more fundamental disposition (i.e., social representation) towards a phenomenon like disability. This book is written assuming the reader has no prior knowledge of Social Representations Theory. It will be of interest to all scholars, students and professionals working in the fields of disability studies, health and social care, and sociology.

Book Introduction of Advanced State Space Grids and Their Application to the Analysis of Physics Teaching

Download or read book Introduction of Advanced State Space Grids and Their Application to the Analysis of Physics Teaching written by Niklas Litzenberger and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-10-25 with total page 233 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Teaching is characterized by complex interactions. Therefore, it is difficult to make global statements about a teaching sequence. However, methods that aim at a global assessment of teaching have often been used in indicator-based lesson observation. It remains unclear how reliable global assessments of entire lesson sequences are since no statements can be made about dynamic processes taking place. One approach is the State Space Grids (SSG) developed by Hollenstein (2013). These make it possible to relate the development of two teaching characteristics to each other over time to visualize dynamic processes. However, there is no suitable way to numerically capture the relationship between indicators, e.g. to compare such moment-to-moment assessments with global assessments. The aim of this work is therefore to extend the SSG approach to Advanced State Space Grids with mathematically based parameters, to test their practicability, to compare them with global assessments of entire teaching sequences, and to investigate their applicability to physics teaching. Numerical and graphical elements are added to the SSG plot. These include new relation types between the recorded indicators, chi-square tests, and parameters for densities and deviations.

Book Knowledge Structures Recent Developments In Theory And Application

Download or read book Knowledge Structures Recent Developments In Theory And Application written by Jurgen Heller and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2024-07-09 with total page 362 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Founded in 1985 by Jean-Claude Falmagne and Jean-Paul Doignon, Knowledge Structure Theory (KST) constitutes a rigorous and current mathematical theory for the representation and the assessment of human knowledge. The seminal work of these authors initiated a highly active research strand with an ever-growing literature, mostly scattered across various technical journals.Starting from a concise but comprehensive introduction to its foundations, this volume provides a state-of-the-art review of KST. For the first time the volume brings together the most important theoretical developments and extensions of the last decade and presents new areas of application beyond education, with contributions by key researchers in the field.Among the important advances covered by this book are (1) a comprehensive treatment of probabilistic models in KST; (2) polytomous extensions of the theory; (3) KST-based psychological diagnostics and neuropsychological assessment; (4) the representation and assessment of cognitive skills in problem solving, as well as procedural skills. In addition, this book also includes an overview of available software for the application of KST.
