Book Understanding the Book of Daniel for This Generation Comprensi n El Libro De Daniel Para Esta Generaci n

Download or read book Understanding the Book of Daniel for This Generation Comprensi n El Libro De Daniel Para Esta Generaci n written by Earl B. Schrock and published by Xlibris Corporation. This book was released on 2021-12-15 with total page 494 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The entire book of Daniel demonstrates the battle between good and evil from the days of Daniel to the very end of the ages when sin is completely destroyed. It reveals the ongoing battle where the sacred verses the secular and the holy verses the unholy. The author’s goal is to produce an easy to read book explaining the intent of each chapter in the book of Daniel, leading the reader to get a clearer understanding of Bible prophecy. The objective is to help people realize an interpretation of the book of Daniel, for our day, for this generation, is indispensable. There is a soon coming time of trouble and a time of tribulation we should know about, understand, and prepare for. Daniel Bible questions to ponder: How many years were Daniel’s people to be in Babylon? And why? How long is the “seven times” in which King Nebuchadnezzar was punished? How long is “time, times, and half a time”? When do the 70 weeks, 1260, 1290, 1335, and 2300 days begin? What is the Holy Covenant? What is the “continual” of Daniel 12:11? What is the “abomination of desolation”? Can a seven year tribulation period be substantiated in the Bible? What does “the appointed time of the end” timeline look like as designed by the Bible?

Download or read book La Parabola de la Higuera written by Gamaliel CalderóN Mata and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2012-10 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Receptions of Antiquity

Download or read book Receptions of Antiquity written by Jan Nelis and published by Academia Press. This book was released on 2011 with total page 379 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This volume presents a series of papers which cover the general theme of the reception of antiquity, a topic which has in recent years become a discipline in itself, or what some might call a 'cross-discipline'. Indeed the Nachleben of the (culture of) classical antiquity, and of antiquity as a whole, manifests in a number of diverse domains, opening up the field of reception studies to scholars from disciplines other than Classics. This collection of papers illustrates this diversity, uniting as it does original research by scholars from a variety of disciplines: classicists, historians, theatre historians, architectural historians, psychologists, archaeologists, artists, and more, all of whom have treated some aspect of the so-called 'classical tradition' by means of their own individual approaches, leading to a volume rich and dense in themes and methodologies. 'Receptions of antiquity' has been written by friends of Freddy Decreus, in honour of his career, and in celebration of his thought."--

Book The Entablo Manuscript

Download or read book The Entablo Manuscript written by Sarah Bennison and published by University of Texas Press. This book was released on 2023-10-24 with total page 237 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A unique study of an Andean community’s water rituals and the extraordinary document describing how they should be performed In the dry season in the Andes, water from springs, lakes, reservoirs, and melting glaciers feeds irrigation canals that have sustained communities for thousands of years. Managing and maintaining these water infrastructures is essential, and in 1921, in the village of San Pedro de Casta, Peru, local authorities recorded their ritual canal-cleaning duties in a Spanish-language document called the Entablo. It is only the second book (along with the Huarochirí Manuscript) ever seen by scholars in which an Andean community explains its customs and ritual laws in its own words. Sarah Bennison offers a critical introduction to the Entablo, a Spanish transcription of the document, and an English translation. Among its other revelations, the Entablo delves into the use of khipu boards, devices that meld the traditional knotted strings known as khipus with a written alphabet. Only in the Entablo do we learn that there were multiple khipu boards associated with a single canal-cleaning ritual, or that there were separate khipu records for men and women. The Entablo manuscript furnishes unparalleled insights into Andean rituals, religion, and community history at a historical moment when rural highland communities were changing rapidly.

Book La Sombra del Egombe egombe

Download or read book La Sombra del Egombe egombe written by Gudea de Lagash and published by Palibrio. This book was released on 2013-10 with total page 903 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
