Book La iniciaci n deportiva en la escuela desde un enfoque comprensivo

Download or read book La iniciaci n deportiva en la escuela desde un enfoque comprensivo written by Roberto Monjas and published by Miño y Dávila. This book was released on 2023-06-26 with total page 196 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Complete Guide to Sport Education written by Daryl Siedentop and published by Human Kinetics. This book was released on 2011-02-22 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This new edition of Complete Guide to Sport Education contains everything your students need to get—and keep—children active. Regardless of skill or confidence level, your students will learn how to get children to work together, support each other, and gain competence in sport and fitness skills so that they can stay moving now and throughout their lifetime. The Sport Education model is appropriate for various dance forms and recreational activities such as swimming, weightlifting, and other fitness programs such as aerobic routines and hiking. The text for this groundbreaking Sport Education curricular model has expanded to 12 chapters, is updated throughout, and offers even more practical examples and real-world applications from both elementary and secondary levels: • A new emphasis on using the Sport Education model to help students reach national goals for physical activity, including outside of class time • Review of the findings from more than 50 research studies that examine the efficacies of the Sport Education model • More online teacher resources—including ready-to-use forms, plans, assessments, charts, and handouts A few examples of new resources include a series of team practice cards that teachers and team coaches can use to plan practices, and templates that allow teachers to choose among several game-play performance indicators (techniques and tactics, rules and strategies, fair play, and so on). The resources make it easy for professors to use this text in college methods and curriculum courses. Authors Daryl Siedentop, Peter Hastie, and Hans van der Mars provide a perfect blend of rock-solid theory and practical application for a wealth of games, sports, and fitness activities. Through their Sport Education model, children quickly become involved in all aspects of a sport or activity, learning skills, sportsmanship, and responsibility. The curriculum helps students develop as leaders and as team players. And as they learn to become true players and performers, they become more competent and confident—thus leading to the likelihood that they will continue being active after school, on weekends, and as they grow. This second edition of Complete Guide to Sport Education will help school programs meet national physical activity guidelines and the national physical education standards established by NASPE. It contains everything that future physical education teachers need in order to implement an effective program. With its greater emphasis on activity and fitness, its expanded resources, its relevance and freshness, and its practical approach, Complete Guide to Sport Education, Second Edition, is just what your students need to point children in the direction of healthy, active lifestyles.

Book Promoting Innovation in Developing Countries

Download or read book Promoting Innovation in Developing Countries written by Jean-Eric Aubert and published by World Bank Publications. This book was released on 2005 with total page 39 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Facilitating and responding to the emergence of grass-root needs at the local level is also essential. Support to entrepreneurs and local communities should be primarily provided in matching grant forms to facilitate the mobilization of local resources and ownership. It is of primary importance to pay the greatest attention to country specificities, not only in terms of development level, size, and specialization, but also in terms of administrative and cultural traditions. At the global level, major issues need also to be considered and dealt with by appropriate incentives and regulations: the role of foreign direct investment in developing countries' technological development, conditions of technologies' patenting and licensing, the North-South research asymmetry, and brain drain trends.

Book Models based Practice in Physical Education

Download or read book Models based Practice in Physical Education written by Ashley Casey and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2020-12-13 with total page 132 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book offers a comprehensive synthesis of over 40 years of research on models in physical education to suggest Models-based Practice (MbP) as an innovative future approach to physical education. It lays out the ideal conditions for MbP to flourish by situating pedagogical models at the core of physical education programs and allowing space for local agency and the co-construction of practice. Starting from the premise that true MbP does not yet exist, the book makes a case for the term "pedagogical model" over alternatives such as curriculum model and instructional model, and explains how learners’ cognitive, social, affective and psychomotor needs should be organised in ways that are distinctive and unique to each model. It examines the core principles underpinning the pedagogical models that make up MbP, including pedagogical models as organising centres for program design and as design specifications for developing local programs. The book also explores how a common structure can be applied to analyse pedagogical models at macro, meso and micro levels of discourse. Having created a language through which to talk about pedagogical models and MbP, the book concludes by identifying the conditions - some existing and some aspirational - under which MbP can prosper in reforming physical education. An essential read for academics, doctoral and post-graduate students, and pre-service and in-service teachers, Models-based Practice in Physical Education is a vital point of reference for anyone who is interested in pedagogical models and wants to embrace this potential future of physical education.

Book Team Coordination and Cognition in Basketball from Theory to Practice

Download or read book Team Coordination and Cognition in Basketball from Theory to Practice written by Carlos López Calbet and published by Createspace Independent Publishing Platform. This book was released on 2017-10-28 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Since the half court offence 5v5 is, by far, the most developed during the match, it is crucial that the players acquire a high strategical and tactical knowledge which propitiates an intelligent decision making process in a hostile environment which changes constantly. Developing a smart game depends, in the first place, on the intelligence of the player (Duprat, 2014) but, when does the player show intelligent behaviour? He shows it when he knows what to do, how to do it, when to act and with whom to act, according to the changing conditions of the game (Ruíz, Gutiérrez, Graupera, Linaza and Navarro, 2001). But five intelligent players are not enough to develop and intelligent game. The intelligent game consists of playing for the benefit of the team. Each player agrees to act for a team objective. He must understand that the individual action is part of a global process that turns into a team effectiveness (López Ros, 2011). Developing an intelligent game requires all the players must learn to cooperate and coordinate their behaviour since a team strategy can only work if each player acts reliably and contributes to the common goal (Gréhaigne, 2014). It is needed that the members of the team act concertedly to achieve the team objectives. The coordination appears when the players synchronise and adjust their behaviour among them to work as a coherent team. This requires the adaptation of each player to the partners and the opponent's actions (Passos and Chow, 2016). Focusing on the half court offence, achieving an autonomous, intelligent and coordinated behavior of the five players at the same time is the most complicated task that we face the teachers of this sport. In order to guarantee this necessary coordination, coaches design set plays in which it is indicated what each player has to do. However, this way of proceeding does not allow players to act autonomously, or to develop an intelligence about the game. So how can we achieve an autonomous, intelligent and coordinated behavior of the five players at the same time? Contributing to the answers to this question is the aim of this book.

Book Ownership Leadership and Transformation

Download or read book Ownership Leadership and Transformation written by Thomas Theisohn and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2013-07-04 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The third and final in a series, this text bridges the conceptual foundations of capacity development and the difficulties and practical realities in the field. It demystifies the process of capacity development to make it more user-friendly. The book has two parts. The first shows how long-standing development dilemmas can be turned into opportunities for capacity development and societal transformation. It proposes a set of principles to guide the search for context-specific approaches as the norm, and based on these default principles the authors explore relevant issues in comprehensible stages through a capacity lens. The second part is a compilation of experiences and lessons from around the world, to showcase promising initiatives and innovative solutions. It forms a casebook of insights and good (rather than best) practices on how development stakeholders can turn development dilemmas into opportunities tailored to the needs of their societies.

Book Perspectives on Cognition and Action in Sport

Download or read book Perspectives on Cognition and Action in Sport written by Duarte Araújo and published by Nova Science Publishers. This book was released on 2009 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There has been considerable debate on sport psychology about the status and the function of cognition and action in sport. This debate is very relevant since there was a refinement of the different positions, and there were several attempts to integrate apparently contrasting perspectives. A main goal of this book is to put the links between cognition, perception and action into the discussion both oriented towards theory and practice, and thus, cast a new look on cognition and action in sport. The book is organised in three sections. Section I discusses the organisation of action attending to its dynamics and complexity. It shows how multiple levels of complexity are involved in performance and learning. Section II discusses not only what is knowledge, but also how athletes use it during performance. Section III presents different perspectives about judgement and decision-making as well as applications to training.

Download or read book Learning to Write written by Gunther Kress and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2003-09-02 with total page 248 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: First published in 1982, this influential and classic text poses two questions: what is it that a child learns when he or she learns to write? What can we learn about children, society and ourselves, by looking at this process? The book is based on a close analysis of a series of written texts by primary school children and is written for student teachers with little or no knowledge of linguistics. In this new edition, Gunther Kress has made extensive revisions in the light of recent developments in linguistics and in education. The theoretical focus is now a social semiotic one, which allows a fundamental rethinking of issues such as 'preliteracy' and broad social and cultural questions around the making of texts.
