Book Lien Entre L innovation Et la Productivit Dans Les Industries Manufacturi res

Download or read book Lien Entre L innovation Et la Productivit Dans Les Industries Manufacturi res written by Wulong Gu and published by . This book was released on 2003 with total page 76 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper argues that the lack of evidence for a strong link between innovation & productivity in Canada is due to incomplete measures of innovation. The authors first construct a comprehensive measure of innovation that models innovation as an unobservable latent variable that underlies four indicators: research & development propensity, measured as a percentage of output; patents per worker; technology adoption, measured as real investment in machinery & equipment; and skill intensity, measured as the employment share of workers with a university education. The authors then examine the relationship between innovation & productivity in 14 Canadian manufacturing industries over 1980-1997 using the new measure. The results also show that the length of time it takes for innovation to have a positive & significant impact on productivity differs across industries.

Book Enterprise Knowledge Capital

Download or read book Enterprise Knowledge Capital written by Blandine Laperche and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2017-10-30 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Thoroughly grounded in an extensive body of international research and analysis, this book investigates the concepts surrounding a firm’s knowledge capital. These concepts play an integral part in the evolution of economic and managerial thinking, particularly in relation to the themes of firm, knowledge and innovation. The author advocates a greater socialization of the production of knowledge capital that stands in contradiction to the strong appropriation strategies that are predominant today. This book presents a historical analysis of the facts with a strong basis in the recent literature in economics and innovation management as well as in case studies of CAC 40 companies that have been conducted over the course of the past few years.

Book Rapports Universit industrie en Sciences Et Technologie

Download or read book Rapports Universit industrie en Sciences Et Technologie written by Jérôme Doutriaux and published by . This book was released on 1995 with total page 178 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This paper updates and improves our understanding of university-industry relations in Canada. It begins with the volume of literature produced on this topic in the late 1980s and strengthens some of the initial, and perhaps, intuitive conclusions of this literature with findings from recent studies and some surveys. Benefiting from recent scholarship, the paper places significant emphasis on regional approaches to technology transfer. It insists that a variety of organizations, not just universities and industry, have important roles to play in technology transfer and local economic development, and suggests that both different sources of funding and approaches are important and should be complementary.

This book was released on 2013-04-03 with total page 414 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
