La figura del empleador y la proliferación de formas de cooperación interempresarial, en las que los procesos productivos se fragmentan de modos muy variados, constituyen una muestra especialmente importante de estos procesos de cambio y plantean importantes dudas sobre el alcance de su impacto en las relaciones de trabajo. En este libro se abordan los principales problemas que, a juicio de sus autores, plantean estos fenómenos de cooperación en el marco de la relación de trabajo: desde la perspectiva de la determinación de la parte empresarial del contrato de trabajo hasta las formas en las que los pactos entre empresarios pueden, a su vez, ser parte de las relaciones con los trabajadores y los instrumentos jurídicos que pueden conducir a estos resultados. También, por supuesto, el alcance de la responsabilidad laboral de los distintos empresarios implicados, así como la dimensión colectiva de la transformación empresarial, a escala comunitaria y nacional, sobre todo desde la perspectiva de la generación de fórmulas de representación y acción colectivas que permitan hacer patentes los intereses de los trabajadores en su dimensión compleja o grupal.

Para ello se han analizado las disposiciones referidas a la prevención de riesgos laborales contenidas en los convenios colectivos de distintos ámbitos, estatal, autonómico y de empresa, así como en los Acuerdos a que se refiere el artículo 83.2 ET.
