La presente edición no pretende ser mera reconstrucción filológica de la temática antropológica tratada por E-P, sino “reflexión de segundo grado” capaz de organizar críticamente los diferentes niveles en los que mueve su obra. El prisma filosófico desde el que dicha tarea se aborda, es el de la Teoría del Cierre Categorial desarrollada por el filósofo español Gustavo Bueno. Su aplicación nos ha permitido articular el estudio global de la antropología social de Evans-Pritchard atendiendo al doble plano en el que está inmersa: el plano del “ejercicio” y el plano de la “representación”.
