Ceci implique l'existence d'une transition quantique-classique. Cette dernière constitue l'objet de cette thèse. Cette transition a pour origine le processus de décohérence. Cette thèse traite l'interconnexion entre la notion de décohérence et trois aspects du chaos quantique. A savoir la notion de réversibilité quantique, l'intrication et finalement le transport quantique. Nous nous sommes d'abord concentré sur les fluctuations mésoscopiques de l'écho de Loschmidt. Puis nous avons généralisé le concept afin d'y inclure un environnement. Nous avons ensuite abordé la notion d'intrication et son lien avec le principe de correspondance. Enfin nous avons traité le transport quantique et montré le caractère non universel du déphasage pour un régime semiclassique fort.

They address issues such as the role of problem-solving and heuristic reasoning in theory-building; how inferences and models shape the pursuit of scientific knowledge; the relation between problem-solving and scientific discovery; the relative values of the syntactic, semantic, and pragmatic view of theories in understanding theory construction; and the relation between ampliative inferences, heuristic reasoning, and models as a means for building new theories and knowledge. Through detailed arguments and examinations, the volume collectively challenges the orthodox view’s main tenets by characterizing the ways in which the different “stages” are logically, temporally, and psychologically intertwined. For some of these surfaces, called ĺlarithmetic hyperbolic surfacesĺl, the eigenfunctions are of arithmetic nature, and one may use analytic tools as well as powerful methods in number theory to study them. After an introduction to the hyperbolic geometry of surfaces, with a special emphasis on those of arithmetic type, and then an introduction to spectral analytic methods on the Laplace operator on these surfaces, the author develops the analogy between geometry (closed geodesics) and arithmetic (prime numbers) in proving the Selberg trace formula. Along with important number theoretic applications, the author exhibits applications of these tools to the spectral statistics of the Laplacian and the quantum unique ergodicity property. The latter refers to the arithmetic quantum unique ergodicity theorem, recently proved by Elon Lindenstrauss. The fruit of several graduate level courses at Orsay and Jussieu, The Spectrum of Hyperbolic Surfaces allows the reader to review an array of classical results and then to be led towards very active areas in modern mathematics.
