Download or read book Resilience regulation and quality of life written by Nathalie Nader-Grosbois and published by Presses univ. de Louvain. This book was released on 2009 with total page 353 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book L nigme conjugale written by Josiane Cauquelin and published by Presses Univ Blaise Pascal. This book was released on 2000 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Download or read book Pr cis of the Lectures on Architecture written by Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand and published by Getty Publications. This book was released on 2000-01-01 with total page 363 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Jean-Nicolas-Louis Durand (1760–1834) regarded the Précis of the Lectures on Architecture (1802–5) and its companion volume, the Graphic Portion (1821), as both a basic course for future civil engineers and a treatise. Focusing the practice of architecture on utilitarian and economic values, he assailed the rationale behind classical architectural training: beauty, proportionality, and symbolism. His formal systematization of plans, elevations, and sections transformed architectural design into a selective modular typology in which symmetry and simple geometrical forms prevailed. His emphasis on pragmatic values, to the exclusion of metaphysical concerns, represented architecture as a closed system that subjected its own formal language to logical processes. Now published in English for the first time, the Précis and the Graphic Portion are classics of architectural education.

Considering the full breadth of psycholinguistics, the book covers core topics including how children acquire language, how language is related to the brain, and what can go wrong with it. Fully updated throughout, this edition also includes: Additional coverage on the genetics of language Insight into potential cognitive advantages of bilingualism New content on brain imaging and neuroscience Increased emphasis on recursion and what is special about language Talking the Talk is written in an engaging style which does not hesitate to explain complex concepts. It is essential reading for all undergraduate students and those new to the topic, as well as the interested lay reader.
Download or read book Boom Crisis Heritage written by Lars Bluma and published by Walter de Gruyter GmbH & Co KG. This book was released on 2021-10-11 with total page 316 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Boom – Crisis – Heritage, these terms aptly outline the history of global coal mining after 1945. The essays collected in this volume explore this history with different emphases and questions. The range of topics also reflects this broad approach. The first section contains contributions on political, social and economic history. They address the European energy system in the globalised world of the 20th and 21st centuries as well as specific social policies in mining regions. The second section then focuses on the medialisation of mining and its legacies, also paying attention to the environmental history of mining. The anthology, which goes back to a conference of the same name at the Deutsches Bergbau-Museum Bochum, thus offers a multi-faceted insight into the research field of modern mining history.

Download or read book L enigme du handicap written by Jean-Sébastien MORVAN and published by Eres. This book was released on 2013-03-15 with total page 179 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.
