S'agit-il du montage libéral appareillé, du montage libéral répressif, libéral libertaire, ordolibéral, du montage néocorporatif ou du montage républicain? Les économistes répondent mais ils le font en appui sur leurs a priori théoriques. Selon qu'ils se déclarent théoriciens de la liaison sociale, du lien social ou du liant social, théoriciens de l'indépendance ou de la subordination, ils optent pour l'un ou l'autre de ces montages. Comme ils ne peuvent avoir tous raison au même moment, il se pourrait que certains se trompent. La question sociale participe au dévoilement de la dimension fantasmagorique des discours installés.

Focusing the practice of architecture on utilitarian and economic values, he assailed the rationale behind classical architectural training: beauty, proportionality, and symbolism. His formal systematization of plans, elevations, and sections transformed architectural design into a selective modular typology in which symmetry and simple geometrical forms prevailed. His emphasis on pragmatic values, to the exclusion of metaphysical concerns, represented architecture as a closed system that subjected its own formal language to logical processes.
