Book excerpt: Kingdom Rising comprises teachings that came about through Todd's popular Kingdom School lessons and CD's and also more recent rhema words, visions, and encounters he has since had concerning the advancement of the kingdom of God and the reality of on earth as it is in heaven now. Scripture teaches us that Christ's kingdom is within us and all around us. When Jesus showed His disciples how to pray, He spoke directly to His Father, Your kingdom come. Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven (Matt. 6:9). God wants us to learn how to bring the reality of the kingdom of heaven right into our midst here on earth, as Jesus did! This radical and biblically sound teaching will ignite a roaring passion for Jesus in the hearts of believers for the glory of God. Readers will discover how to access the realm of as it is in heaven in every earthly circumstance. They will discover and learn how to access every spiritual inheritance that God has promised is ours, but most of all, Kingdom Invasion prepares us to passionately introduce the lost to Jesus in a way that deeply touches them. It compels God's children to present the kingdom of God in power everywhere. This is the appointed time the set time to take the kingdom of God into the streets and invite the poor, the sick, the blind, and the captive, to come to Jesus' banqueting table. Kingdom Invasion equips believers for this glorious task.

Download or read book Middle Kingdom and Empire of the Rising Sun written by June Teufel Dreyer and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2016 with total page 479 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "Japan and China have been rivals for more than a millennium. Until the late nineteenth century, China was the more powerful, while Japan took the upper hand in the twentieth century. Now, China's resurgence has emboldened it as Japan perceives itself falling behind, exacerbating long-standing historical frictions ... Dreyer argues that recent disputes should be seen as manifestations of embedded rivalries rather than as issues whose resolution would provide a lasting solution to deep-standing disputes"--Jacket.

  • Pages : 295 pages

Download or read book Rising Subjects written by Wiktor Marzec and published by University of Pittsburgh Press. This book was released on 2020-05-26 with total page 295 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Rising Subjects explores the change of the public sphere in Russian Poland during the 1905 Revolution. The 1905 Revolution was one of the few bottom-up political transformations and general democratizations in Polish history. It was a popular rebellion fostering political participation of the working class. The infringement of previously carefully guarded limits of the public sphere triggered a powerful conservative reaction among the commercial and landed elites, and frightened the intelligentsia. Polish nationalists promised to eliminate the revolutionary “anarchy” and gave meaning to the sense of disappointment after the revolution. This study considers the 1905 Revolution as a tipping point for the ongoing developments of the public sphere. It addresses the question of Polish socialism, nationalism, and antisemitism. It demonstrates the difficulties in using the class cleavage for democratic politics in a conflict-ridden, multiethnic polity striving for an irredentist self-assertion against the imperial power.

  • ISBN : 1984823841
  • Pages : 394 pages

Download or read book MBS written by Ben Hubbard and published by Crown. This book was released on 2020-03-10 with total page 394 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A NEW YORK TIMES EDITORS’ CHOICE • A gripping, behind-the-scenes portrait of the rise of Saudi Arabia’s secretive and mercurial new ruler “Revelatory . . . a vivid portrait of how MBS has altered the kingdom during his half-decade of rule.”—The Washington Post Finalist for the PEN/Jacqueline Bograd Weld Award • ONE OF THE BEST BOOKS OF THE YEAR: Financial Times, Foreign Affairs, Kirkus Reviews MBS is the untold story of how a mysterious young prince emerged from Saudi Arabia’s sprawling royal family to overhaul the economy and society of the richest country in the Middle East—and gather as much power as possible into his own hands. Since his father, King Salman, ascended to the throne in 2015, Mohammed bin Salman has leveraged his influence to restructure the kingdom’s economy, loosen its strict Islamic social codes, and confront its enemies around the region, especially Iran. That vision won him fans at home and on Wall Street, in Silicon Valley, in Hollywood, and at the White House, where President Trump embraced the prince as a key player in his own vision for the Middle East. But over time, the sheen of the visionary young reformer has become tarnished, leaving many struggling to determine whether MBS is in fact a rising dictator whose inexperience and rash decisions are destabilizing the world’s most volatile region. Based on years of reporting and hundreds of interviews, MBS reveals the machinations behind the kingdom’s catastrophic military intervention in Yemen, the bizarre detention of princes and businessmen in the Riyadh Ritz-Carlton, and the shifting Saudi relationships with Israel and the United States. And finally, it sheds new light on the greatest scandal of the young autocrat’s rise: the brutal killing of journalist Jamal Khashoggi by Saudi agents in Istanbul, a crime that shook Saudi Arabia’s relationship with Washington and left the world wondering whether MBS could get away with murder. MBS is a riveting, eye-opening account of how the young prince has wielded vast powers to reshape his kingdom and the world around him. Praise for MBS “Saudi Arabia is testing the extremes of tradition and innovation, of half-baked visions and intensifying repression. Ben Hubbard’s authoritative reporting on the inner sanctums of its society offers a perfect synthesis of journalism and area expertise: the best description we have at the moment of why things happen as they do in the kingdom.”—Robert D. Kaplan, author of The Return of Marco Polo’s World
