Book Jump Frog Funny Frog Because Frogs Are Funny

Download or read book Jump Frog Funny Frog Because Frogs Are Funny written by Penelope Dyan and published by Bellissima Publishing. This book was released on 2008-08 with total page 44 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This is book Nine of the Penny Mouse Early Reader Series, and the fun of learning continues! This time Penelope Dyan introduces us to the frogs! The frogs jump, of course; and they are bothered by those same pesky little bees that we have seen in earlier Penny Mouse Early Readers! This book lists the first primary reading list words right next to the book's introduction, so that parents can copy the words and make flash cards to use with their children as their children learn to read. Dyan begins to also incorporate the use of counting and number words so that the child can interact with the parent as the reading progresses. You will note Dyan uses correct English writing. "To where did the little frog go?" and not "Where did the little frog go to," because that would be ending a sentence in a preposition; and Dyan is a believer that if a child hears and reads correct English, he or she will speak correct English. But that is just a hidden lesson, the main lesson of this book, and this series is mainly about the joy of learning! Penelope Dyan is an attorney, a writer and a former teacher and has been widely published in both the field of law as well as the field of education. She is an award winning writer, and she brings her love of children to the Penny Mouse Early Reader Series! Each concept is tried and true and classroom/kid tested! Go ahead and laugh as you teach! (Everyone is supposed to have fun with these books!)

Through engaging anecdotes and inspired advice, profiles of home gardeners throughout the country, and interviews with scientists and horticulturalists, Lawson applies the broader lessons of ecology to our own outdoor spaces. Detailed chapters address planting for wildlife by choosing native species; providing habitats that shelter baby animals, as well as birds, bees, and butterflies; creating safe zones in the garden; cohabiting with creatures often regarded as pests; letting nature be your garden designer; and encouraging natural processes and evolution in the garden. The Humane Gardener fills a unique niche in describing simple principles for both attracting wildlife and peacefully resolving conflicts with all the creatures that share our world.

Book Mr Funny Pants

  • Author : Michael Showalter

Download or read book Mr Funny Pants written by Michael Showalter and published by Grand Central Publishing. This book was released on 2011-02-22 with total page 288 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: I was at my wit's end. I'd had enough of this job, this life, and my relationship had broken up. Should I eat chocolate, or go to India, or fall in love? Then I had a revelation: Why not do all three, in that order? And so it was that I embarked on a journey that was segmented into three parts and was then made into a major motion picture. Later, I woke up on an airplane with a hole in my face and a really bad hangover. I was ushered brusquely off the plane by my parents who took me to a rehab where I tested positive for coke, classic coke, special k (the drug), Special K (the cereal), mushrooms, pepperoni, and Restless Leg Syndrome. It was there that I first began painting with my feet. But rewind...the year was 1914. I was just a young German soldier serving in the trenches while simultaneously trying to destroy an evil ring with some help from an elf, a troll, and a giant sorcerer, all while cooking every recipe out of a Julia Child cookbook. What I'm trying to say is that there was a secret code hidden in a painting and I was looking for it with this girl who had a tattoo of a dragon! Let me clarify, it was the 1930s and a bunch of us were migrating out of Oklahoma, and I was this teenage wizard/CIA operative, okay? And, um then I floated off into the meta-verse as a ball of invisible energy that had no outer edge... Ugh, okay. None of this is true. I'm just kind of a normal guy from New Jersey who moved to New York, got into comedy, wrote this book about trying to write this book, and then moved to Alaska, became the mayor of a small town, spent $30,000 on underwear, and now I'm going to rule the world!!!

Book Bully and Bawly No Tail The Jumping Frogs

Download or read book Bully and Bawly No Tail The Jumping Frogs written by Howard Roger Garis and published by CreateSpace. This book was released on 2014-03-28 with total page 82 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Once upon a time, not so very many years ago, there were two little frog boys who lived in a little pond near a nice big farm. It wasn't very far from where Peetie and Jackie Bow-Wow, the puppy dogs, had their home, and the frogs' house was right next door to the pen where Lulu and Alice and Jimmie Wibblewobble the ducks lived. There was Bully No-Tail, and his brother Bawly No-Tail, and the reason Bawly had such a funny name was because when he was a little baby he used to cry a good bit. And once he cried so much that he made a lot more water in the pond than should have been there, and it ran over, just like when you put too much milk in your glass, and made the ground all wet.The last name of the frogs was “No-Tail,” because, being frogs, you see, they had no tails. But now Bawly was larger, and he didn't cry so much, I'm glad to say. And with the frog boys lived their papa and mamma, and also a nice, big, green and yellow spotted frog who was named Grandpa Croaker. Oh, he was one of the nicest frogs I have ever known, and I have met quite a number. One day when Bully and Bawly were hopping along on the ground, close to the edge of the pond, Bully suddenly said:“Bawly, I think I can beat you in a swimming race.”“I don't believe you can,” spoke Bawly, as he thoughtfully scratched his left front leg on a piece of hickory bark.
