Book excerpt: From the Foreword by John Killinger I have to say it. I'm blown away by this book. I've ready many of my friend-and-former- student Jim's books, but this one, as special as all have been, is really special. Nobody but Jim would have thought of writing a book about the soul. Not today. The Greeks and Hebrews talked a lot about soul in ancient times, but our society has grown away from such weighty concepts. We talk instead about egos and personalities and centers of being, but not souls. To us, souls have become amorphous-mere references to our existence and not to anything more. Jim has taken us back to a more religious and embracing concept of who we are, of what constitutes our being, and dared to write about his favorite subject, joy, as it relates to this hallowed and ancient concept. That's what blows me away. It is a daring and enormous undertaking. By reminding us of this old and revered idea of who we are-who each of us is - it challenges us to review everything we know and feel about ourselves.

Book Soul Numbers

    Book Details:
  • Author : Michelle Arbeau
  • Publisher : Open Road Media
  • Release : 2014-07-01
  • ISBN : 1497644526
  • Pages : 168 pages

Download or read book Soul Numbers written by Michelle Arbeau and published by Open Road Media. This book was released on 2014-07-01 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Is it just a coincidence that a record number of people are seeing in numbers, or could it be the fabric of the universe revealing itself to us? According to the religion of Kabbalah and even the ancient Greek philosopher and mathematician Pythagoras, the truths of the universe are contained within numbers. The phenomena of numbers—seeing repeating numbers and number sequences—are sweeping the globe. People from the average Joe to celebrities are seeing repeating numbers on clocks, in addresses, in phone numbers, in account numbers, and on license plates, just to name a few. Repeating numbers and number sequences are showing up in both the quirky and the commonplace on a daily basis. Skeptics argue that seeing repeating numbers is simply a matter of pattern recognition and it’s all in our head. There have been scientific theories throughout history that attempt to explain the basis of the universal structure—from String Theory to the Holographic universe. All things in existence can be counted, sorted, or measured using numbers and, intriguingly, a common thread in many theories is mathematics. More people are reporting the same phenomena in all cultures, races, and religions, turning skeptics into believers. Soul Numbers has the potential to create a tidal wave amid this numbers phenomenon, making it the new, most complete numbers-meaning bible. Numerology books offer some insight into the base number meanings of 0 to 9 but fail to go further to precisely pinpoint and explain why someone is seeing 1:47 on a clock daily and what it means to them. Covering the number meanings from 0 to 999, Soul Numbers helps readers decipher any number sequence. Whether they’re seeing single 2s everywhere or exactly four—2222—it will allow them to break the numbers down like an ancient code. Unlike other titles with mainly angelic-focused number meanings, this book holds a broad spectrum view of number patterns, weaving science and spirituality to spark the curiosity of both the skeptic and the die-hard spiritualist.

Darkness turns upside down the perception of mankind so that what is evil can seem good and what is good can seem evil. Looking back over the past decades it becomes apparent how morals have been corrupted by the acceptance of what seems harmless and good on the surface but beneath is in fact toxic and soul destroying. Evil raised it sign and people embraced this sign unaware of what they were truly embracing. Today because of this so many suffer, lives of the innocent are destroyed and seen as worthless, many do not know what morals are and families and societies fall apart. True Realism always and everywhere is to find out where joy resides. In the past year this magical gift got lost or mislaid in my life. Mike Mason has located it, given it voice, and helped me to recover it. Even one sip of Champagne for the Soul is a heady, exhilarating experience." -Brennan Manning, author of A Glimpse of Jesus: The Stranger to Self-Hatred If you were given the chance to be happy for the rest of your life, wouldn't you jump at it? In Champagne for the Soul, bestselling author Mike Mason explains that the Bible does make this offer. Yet most of us hang back, reluctant and skeptical. Theologically most Christians will agree that the Bible teaches and offers a life of joy; yet deep down we're not convinced that such a life is practical-for us or any ordinary person. But, says Mason, such joy truly is ours to claim and embrace. What you now hold in your hands is a call to throw off all worries and complaints and to "come and share your master's happiness" (Matthew 25:21). Is it possible to live every day in joy? You will never know if you don't try. These pages, drawn from the author's own ninety-day experiment in actively pursuing joy, will lead you on a journey that will help you-no matter what your circumstances-to escape the trap of worry, fear, and dullness and grab hold of the joy of the Lord. Mike Mason is the best-selling author of several books, including The Mystery of Marriage, The Mystery of Children, The Gospel According to Job, and Practicing the Presence of People. He and his wife, Karen, an M.D. in general practice, live in Langely, British Columbia, Canada, with their teenage daughter, Heather.
