Download or read book Question Your Thinking Change the World written by Byron Katie and published by Hay House, Inc. This book was released on 2007-10-01 with total page 242 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: “A spiritual innovator for the new millennium.” —Time “Byron Katie’s Work is a great blessing for our planet.” —Eckhart Tolle Inspirational quotes to help you along your journey of self-inquiry as you navigate love and relationships; sickness and health; work and money; and much more. The profound, lighthearted wisdom embodied within is not theoretical; it is absolutely authentic. Here, she discusses the most essential issues that face us all: • Love, Sex, and Relationships • Health, Sickness, and Death • Parents and Children • Work and Money • Self-Realization Not only will this book help you with you these specific issues, but it will point you toward your own wisdom and will encourage you to question your own mind, using the 4 simple yet incredibly powerful questions of Katie’s process of self-inquiry, called The Work. 1) Is it true? 2) Can you absolutely know that it’s true? 3) How do you react when you believe that thought? 4) Who would you be without the thought? Katie is a living example of the clear, all-embracing love that is our true identity. Because she has thoroughly questioned her own mind, her words shine with the joy of understanding. “People used to ask me if I was enlightened,” she says, “and I would say, ‘I don’t know anything about that. I’m just someone who knows the difference between what hurts and what doesn’t.’ I’m someone who wants only what is. To meet as a friend each concept that arose turned out to be my freedom.

Book excerpt: An accessible guide to understand what trauma is, how PTSD is diagnosed, being aware that it can have a late onset, what can happen if it goes untreated--and how social media can be triggering our trauma Recovery from trauma and PTSD is an especially vital topic these days. Trauma is emotional stress that can stem from a wide variety of upsetting experiences, leaving us feeling anxious, weighed down by negative emotions or memories, or feeling like we lack security. No one's experience and recovery from it is the same. In Traumatized, as both a licensed clinical therapist and YouTube creator, Morton shares a unique perspective on trauma in the modern age, weaving the link between trauma and social media throughout the book--both the positive (how social media promotes mental health awareness) and the dark side of how social media can spread trauma. What social media platforms or accounts are detrimental to our mental health? How can we start paying attention to how we interact with them? What are the best ways to limit the amount of time we spend on certain sites or even unfollow accounts that seem to trigger that trauma response? Traumatized shares tools to manage what we (and our children) can see online.

Book Astonish

Download or read book Astonish written by Claire Luvet and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2016-09-06 with total page 273 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This journey has taught me that you must first heal spiritually in order to heal physically. Praise God often. Repent for sins throughout the day and before you go to sleep. Tell Jesus how grateful you are for paying your debt. Tell Jesus how much you love him. Know that you are a sinner and that there is nothing you can do to repay Jesus for dying on the cross. Resist the enemy. If I felt negative energy, I would lift my hands and say I resist the devil. Satan, you are dead in Jesus name. If you are in immediate danger, say Jesus help me and end all your prayers in Jesus name. Remain calm by reminding yourself that God is bigger than the storm and that he can perform miracles. Being calm readies your instincts, and you can hear the Lord when you direct you. Love your enemies. Your enemies are being used by the devil to stop you from accomplishing Gods will. Holding hatred for someone or for an unpleasant event feeds the enemy. It will become a stronger presence in your life. Its normal to become angry for things that hurt you, but its not okay to stay angry. Love God more than you love yourself.
