Book It s a Buddy s World

Download or read book It s a Buddy s World written by Bud Gilham and published by Author House. This book was released on 2008-06-24 with total page 142 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Ever wondered if other parents have the same thoughts? Remember the time your child painted the family dog? Ever wondered how other’s feel about losing a loved one? Well so have I. It’s a Buddy’s World is based on real life events, both personal and the tales of others. Th e book actually started with articles I published in magazines and news papers. My readers commented on wanting more, and some actually thanked me for making them feel better. I have tried to include a broad selection of topics which I hope you will enjoy and, in some cases, take to heart. Curl up and relax, and let me warm your heart and stimulate the “ Hmmm, I wonder...”, side of you. I promise at least some will bring a knowing smile to your face, while others will bring forth feelings of empathy. As that old saying goes : “Keep smiling, it makes people wonder what you have been up to”. I hope I can help you smile, at least for a while.

Book No Buddy Like a Book

Download or read book No Buddy Like a Book written by Allan Wolf and published by Candlewick. This book was released on 2021-02-09 with total page 33 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Calling readers and daydreamers, word mavens and lovers of adventure! This celebration of the power of books is a rallying cry for letting imaginations soar. We learn important stuff from books. We learn to speak and think. We learn why icebergs stay afloat . . . and why Titanics sink. Have you ever wanted to climb to the top of Everest with one hand behind your back? Kiss a crocodile all by yourself on the Nile River? How about learning how to bottle moonlight, or track a distant star? There are endless things to discover and whole universes to explore simply by reading a book. But books are only smears of ink without the reader’s mind to give their letters meaning and bring them to life. With a rollicking, rhyming text and delightful artwork, poet and storyteller Allan Wolf and illustrator Brianne Farley remind us that books, no matter how they may be consumed, give readers of every background an opportunity to expand their world and spark their imagination. With infectious enthusiasm, No Buddy Like a Book offers an ode to the wonders of language—written, spoken, and everything in between.

  • Publisher : Blue Rose Publishers
  • Release : 2024-08-02
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 626 pages

Download or read book RECOVERY OF INDIA written by and published by Blue Rose Publishers. This book was released on 2024-08-02 with total page 626 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: RECOVERY OF INDIA presents a holistic view of the country's unmatched tradition, its growth through centuries of chequered history vis-à-vis its present struggle to rediscover its incomparably rich legacy in a world of cut-throat competition and mind-boggling speed of rat race that seems to run from nowhere to nowhere. In the giddy tumble caused by IT Era gargantuan gadgetry and the confusion generated by disordered aimlessness, nobody has the time or inclination to reflect on the whys and wherefores of a world gone topsy-turvy. In this scenario of clouded wits and maverick ambition churned by illimitable lust for Mammonism, advanced nations are turning towards India in the fond hope of finding spiritual solace and the right direction for moving towards a higher order of civilization. The author intends to help non-Indians adopt what is healthy while urging his compatriots to restore India’s primeval psycho-spiritual health to its pristine glory.

Book Buddy Remembers Then and Now

Download or read book Buddy Remembers Then and Now written by Joseph N. Muzio and published by Trafford Publishing. This book was released on 2009-02-24 with total page 234 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a memoir, the description of my parents’ lives based on my remembrances, conversations with relatives, reviews of family photographs, as well as examining remaining personal documents of our family. This memoir started as a brief description, and was something I had planned for a long time. Initially, I thought it would be perhaps a few dozen pages. Instead, it grew organically and became a much more detailed recollection of my mother and father’s lives, their marriage, their approaches to life, how they raised my sister and me, and their continuing influence upon me. They came to America as immigrant children; they developed here within their cultural boundaries as Italian Americans; they struggled, thrived and pursued their personal goals. They are still with me today. It has been simultaneously an exhilarating and exhausting process as the writing expanded. This is far beyond any sort of genealogical charting or the identification of distant relatives. Rather, it provides perceptions about my feelings and beliefs regarding my parents, their positive qualities and flaws, as well as how I perceive them now that I am an older adult. This process is one that I urge other children to engage in, writing about their parents so that there will be descriptions of the roles they played. I call such writing a critical component of the collective humanity, tracing the historical journeys that would then be available to the remaining family members and their ancestors. Conceivably, such continued writings could become an endless documentation of family behaviors and interactions. It might even provide a greater clarity and understanding of one’s parents through a long-range lens.
