Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The headlines are unmistakable. Our world is on the precipice of extraordinary, cataclysmic change. The conflict between two great world religions-Islam and Christianity-is fast approaching a devastating climax that will shake the whole world. Indeed, the fact of Western Europe has already been transformed through rapid Islamic expansion, and the fear of terror and holy war pervade the American psyche as multiple conflicts rage in the Middle East. But what happens next, and when? In an age of constant unpredictability, how can we really know what the future holds? After a decade of careful study and scholarly legwork, international speaker Tim Roosenberg unveils a staggering new study of Bible prophecy that demonstrates that God's Word is not silent regarding Islam in these last days. Islam and Christianity in Prophecy carefully explores and unlocks the mysterious book of Daniel, specifically chapters 11 and 12, unveiling a thrilling picture of prophecy that includes the past, present, and future roles of Catholicism, Protestantism, Islam, and the United States in the final conflict ahead. Along the way, Pastor Roosenberg provides the answers you need to survive the coming holy war, answers that will give you complete confidence in God's Word, and faith in the promises of Jesus Christ. "From the ancestors of Abraham sprang the world's two largest religions today, Christianity and Islam. While there is still much that is unknown, it is hard to deny that Islam will have a significant role in last day prophecy. With Scripture, history, and reason, Pastor Tim Roosenberg presents a compelling scenario for the prominent place of Islam in future prophecy." -Doug Batchelor, Amazing Facts International

Book The Challenge of Islam to Christians

Download or read book The Challenge of Islam to Christians written by David Pawson and published by Anchor. This book was released on 2022-02-11 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Challenge of Islam to Christians is David Pawson's most important and perhaps his most sobering - prophetic message to date. Moral decline and erosion of a sense of ultimate truth have created a spiritual vacuum in the United Kingdom. Pawson believes Islam is better equipped than the Church to move into that gap and it is far more likely to become the country's dominant religion in the future. This book unpacks and explains the background behind Pawson's claims. and - crucially - sets out a positive blueprint for the Church's response. Christians must rediscover and demonstrate to society the three qualities that make Christianity unique: Reality. Relationship and Righteousness. This book is essential reading for all Christians.

Download or read book Muhammad Reconsidered written by Anna Bonta Moreland and published by University of Notre Dame Pess. This book was released on 2020-03-30 with total page 215 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Muhammad Reconsidered rectifies the failures of scholarly attempts to understand Islam in the West and to take Islamic theology seriously. Engaging Islam from deep within the Christian tradition by addressing the question of the prophethood of Muhammad, Anna Bonta Moreland calls for a retrieval of Thomistic thought on prophecy. Without either appropriating the prophet as an unwitting Christian or reducing both Christianity and Islam to a common denominator, Moreland studies Muhammad within a Christian theology of revelation. This lens leads to a more sophisticated understanding of Islam, one that honors the integrity of the Catholic tradition and argues for the possibility in principle of Muhammad as a religious prophet. Moreland sets the stage for this inquiry through an intertextual reading of the key Vatican II documents on Islam and on Christian revelation. She then uses Aquinas's treatment of prophecy to address the case of whether Muhammad is a prophet in Christian terms. Muhammad Reconsidered examines the work of several Christian theologians, including W. Montgomery Watt, Hans Küng, Kenneth Cragg, David Kerr, and Jacques Jomier, O.P., and then draws upon the practice of analogical reasoning in the theology of religious pluralism to show that a term in one religion—in this case “prophecy”—can have purchase in another religious tradition. Muhammad Reconsidered not only is a constructive contribution to Catholic theology but also has enormous potential to help scholars reframe and comprehend Christian-Muslim relations.

Book Prophecy and the Fundamentalist Quest

Download or read book Prophecy and the Fundamentalist Quest written by Farzana Hassan and published by McFarland. This book was released on 2015-01-28 with total page 197 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This work traces the origins of apocalyptic prophecy in Christianity and Islam through in-depth examinations of several texts found within the Bible, the Quran, and the Hadith. The author contends that Christianity and Islam, often seen as two of the primary fundamentalist and proselytizing world faiths, remain pitted against each other in an ongoing struggle to impose their religious ideology on the rest of the world through either force or persuasion. The religious prophecies discussed in this book are largely focused on end-time or apocalyptic scenarios (such as the Book of Revelation from the Bible's New Testament, the prophesized hour of judgment in the Quran, and the Book of Tribulations in the Hadith). The final two chapters provide an analysis of current world politics, including the Iraq War, within the context of Christian and Islamic prophecy.

Book A King of Fierce Countenance the Truth about Islam and Bible Prophecy

Download or read book A King of Fierce Countenance the Truth about Islam and Bible Prophecy written by Ph. D. Glenn Goodwin and published by . This book was released on 2014-07-18 with total page 172 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What does the bible have to do with islam? The Prophet Daniel was told, ..".when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up. And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people" (Daniel 8:23-24 KJV). Is it possible that a radical terrorist leader, riding the wind of extreme religious fervor, would be this king of fierce countenance and stir up the storm of Armageddon? Will there ever be peace in the Middle East? Are there radical elements within the Islamic people who figure into Christian prophecies of end-time events? It is hard to conceive of an Israel-centered Battle of Armageddon without including radical Muslim forces in the scenario. But what does the Bible say, and are these days upon us? Is it possible that so great a religion, so moved with passion against Judaism and Christianity, so outspoken on the issue of peace in the Middle East, so dominant in the lands of the Bible, could have arisen without the prophecies of the Bible even taking note of it? This book answers those questions-biblically and historically. This is a book for Christians; it is not against Islam or any other religion. It certainly isn't intended as an attack on any ideology, nor is it designed to insult anyone's faith. Rather, it is a statement of Christian faith. It attempts to explain the Islamic religion as it relates to the Christian Bible. But it does proceed from the presupposition that the Bible is true, and that Christianity is the way to eternal life. It is not designed to be mere hateful ranting against Islam, so much as it is meekly relating what the Bible says. True Christianity has no room for hate, bigotry, or prejudice. But our Bible does have a message for Christians and tells us about the role of extremist followers of radical Islam in future events and how we should prepare for events to come. Dr. Glenn Goodwin is the pastor of the Gospel Assembly Church in Des Moines, Iowa. Formerly a trial attorney, he earned his Juris Doctorate degree with honors from Drake University in Des Moines and his Doctor of Philosophy Degree in Theology from the International Seminary in Plymouth, Florida. He is blessed with a wonderful family, including his wife, three married children, and five granddaughters.

His research on the relationship between Christian end-time prophecy and Islamic expectations of world domination will shock readers and shape the debate over radical Islam for years to come. This is the book to read to understand Islam's potential role in fulfilling the prophecies of the Bible"--Page 2 of cover.

Download or read book 1844 written by Eileen Maddocks and published by Jewel Press. This book was released on 2018-07-01 with total page 191 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What in the world happened in 1844? Followers of William Miller and the Millerite movement expected the Advent, the Second Coming of Jesus, in 1844. When the Advent did not happen as expected, the Great Disappointment ensued. Miller was wrong. But was he? Did the spirit of Christ return in 1844 in the Middle East? The dawn of God’s Prophets of today’s major religions had all arisen in the East. After the Great Disappointment, the Millerite movement splintered into many Adventist sects, and the history of the three remaining today––the Advent Christian Church, the Church of God (Seventh-day), and the Seventh-day Adventist Church––is given. In the East, the year 1844 saw the emergence of the Báb, the Herald of Bahá’u’lláh, and the Bábí movement, and then the emergence of Bahá’u’lláh, the Prophet of the Baha'i Faith. These events are likewise presented. Miller followed biblical guidance as best he could, and he may well have been part of God’s plan in the nineteenth century. Miller and other Adventist Bible scholars did accurately pinpoint the year 1844, but events unfolded a world away in Persia and they had no inkling of them. Today the world suffers increasingly from the divisive forces of strife and intolerance, armed with strident ideologies and weapons that could kill countless millions of people. What is the destiny of our global civilization? Has divine light once again risen from the East for our day? Explore the prophecies of Daniel and follow the events in nineteenth century East and West to an amazing conclusion that will affect everyone.

Book excerpt: The Catholic "thing" - the concrete historical reality of Catholicism as a presence in human history - is the richest cultural tradition in the world. It values both faith and reason, and therefore has a great deal to say about politics and economics, war and peace, manners and morals, children and families, careers and vocations, and many other perennial and contemporary questions. In addition, it has inspired some of the greatest art, music, and architecture, while offering unparalleled human solidarity to tens of millions through hospitals, soup kitchens, schools, universities, and relief services. This volume brings together some of the very best commentary on a wide range of recent events and controversies by some of the very best Catholic writers in the English language: Ralph McInerny, Michael Novak, Fr. James V. Schall, Hadley Arkes, Robert Royal, Anthony Esolen, Brad Miner, George Marlin, David Warren, Austin Ruse, Francis Beckwith, and many others. Their contributions cover large Catholic subjects such as philosophy and theology, liturgy and Church dogma, postmodern culture, the Church and modern politics, literature, and music. Book Jerusalem Caliphate and the Third Jihad

Download or read book Jerusalem Caliphate and the Third Jihad written by John C. Witcombe and published by Prophecy Waymarks Publications. This book was released on 2013-12-04 with total page 190 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: An ancient Bible prophecy reveals the agenda oft today’s determined Islam. Islam—the world’s second-largest religion—has big plans. Its goal? Nothing less than to bring the nations of this world under the influence of Islam and the rule of its sharia law. Beginning in A.D. 632, the entire Muslim world was ruled by a single leader called a caliph. But on March 3, 1924, after 1,292 years, the caliphate was abolished. Today, though, many Muslims envision a coming worldwide Islamic Super-state—and they are determined to reestablish the caliphate and vow that it will be planted in Jerusalem. Twice in its long history, Islam has dramatically expanded its reach in the world through aggressive Jihads—bringing huge areas of earth’s territory under Islamic control using all means necessary, including military conquest. Evidence is increasing that Islam is poised to launch a third Jihad to once again expand its dominion. A Jerusalem caliphate? A third Jihad? According to an ancient Bible prophecy, the answer to both questions is Yes. A reasonable and commonsense interpretation of that prophecy makes clear that Islam will indeed achieve its Jerusalem caliphate and set in motion its third Jihad: “And he shall plant the tabernacles of his palace between the seas in the glorious holy mountain. . .” Daniel 11:45. What does this prophecy mean? And what will happen when the Muslim world—now 1.6 billion strong—unites under a restored caliphate in Jerusalem? The answers are set forth in the pages of this compelling book.

Book Prophecy and Power

Download or read book Prophecy and Power written by Adonis and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2021-05-10 with total page 149 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Heralded as the greatest living Arab poet, Syrian-born Adonis is also a staunch critic of violence and despotism in the Islamic world. In this book, he explores the nature of political power in Islam by focusing on the figure of the prophet Mohammed as both a political and a mythical leader. In conversation with Houria Abdelouahed, Adonis examines the Qur’anic intervention in establishing the prophet’s power, especially when the text is read based on faith and not reason. The authors discuss the historical developments before and after the prophet’s death, which established the power of the Caliph or the leader as absolute. The second part of the book examines the consequences of these developments in the Arab and Islamic world today, where this ‘tyrannical’ understanding of power continues to hold sway. The authors conclude with a call for secularism in the Arab world and a passionate plea for the separation of religion from the political, legal and social spheres.
