Book Generalized Intuitionistic Multiplicative Fuzzy Calculus Theory and Applications

Download or read book Generalized Intuitionistic Multiplicative Fuzzy Calculus Theory and Applications written by Shan Yu and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2020-05-29 with total page 131 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book mainly introduces the latest development of generalized intuitionistic multiplicative fuzzy calculus and its application. The book pursues three major objectives: (1) to introduce the calculus models with concrete mathematical expressions for generalized intuitionistic multiplicative fuzzy information; (2) to introduce new information fusion methods based on the definite integral models; and (3) to clarify the involved approaches bymilitary case. The book is especially valuable for readers to understand how the theoretical framework of generalized intuitionistic multiplicative fuzzy calculus is constructed, not only discrete or continuous but also correlative (generalized) intuitionistic (multiplicative) fuzzy information is aggregated based on the definite integral models and the theory with a military practice is integrated, which would deepen the understanding and give researchers more inspiration in practical decision analysis under uncertainties.

Book Fuzzy Logic and Mathematics

Download or read book Fuzzy Logic and Mathematics written by Radim Belohlavek and published by Oxford University Press. This book was released on 2017-05-03 with total page 545 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The term "fuzzy logic," as it is understood in this book, stands for all aspects of representing and manipulating knowledge based on the rejection of the most fundamental principle of classical logic---the principle of bivalence. According to this principle, each declarative sentence is required to be either true or false. In fuzzy logic, these classical truth values are not abandoned. However, additional, intermediate truth values between true and false are allowed, which are interpreted as degrees of truth. This opens a new way of thinking---thinking in terms of degrees rather than absolutes. For example, it leads to the definition of a new kind of sets, referred to as fuzzy sets, in which membership is a matter of degree. The book examines the genesis and development of fuzzy logic. It surveys the prehistory of fuzzy logic and inspects circumstances that eventually lead to the emergence of fuzzy logic. The book explores in detail the development of propositional, predicate, and other calculi that admit degrees of truth, which are known as fuzzy logic in the narrow sense. Fuzzy logic in the broad sense, whose primary aim is to utilize degrees of truth for emulating common-sense human reasoning in natural language, is scrutinized as well. The book also examines principles for developing mathematics based on fuzzy logic and provides overviews of areas in which this has been done most effectively. It also presents a detailed survey of established and prospective applications of fuzzy logic in various areas of human affairs, and provides an assessment of the significance of fuzzy logic as a new paradigm.

Book Computational Intelligence and Mathematics for Tackling Complex Problems 3

Download or read book Computational Intelligence and Mathematics for Tackling Complex Problems 3 written by István Á. Harmati and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2021-08-25 with total page 223 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Complex problems and systems, which prevail in the real world, cannot often be tackled and solved either by traditional methods offered by mathematics or even the traditional computer science (CS) and and artificial intelligence (AI)..). What is the way out of this dilemma? Advanced methodologies, and tools and techniques, „mimicking” human reasoning or the behavior of animals, animal populations or certain parts of the living bod, based on traditional computer science science and the initial approaches of artificial intelligence are often referred to as biologically inspired methods, or often computational intelligence (CI). Computational intelligence offers effective and efficient solutions to many „unsolvable" problems problems. However, it is far from being a ready to use and complete collection of approaches, and is rather a continuously developing field without clear borders. The emerging new models and algorithms of computational intelligence are deeply rooted in the vast apparatus of traditional mathematics. Thus, the investigation of connections and synergy between mathematics and computational intelligence is an eminent goal which is periodically pursued by a group of mathematicians and computational intelligence researchers who regularly attand the annual European Symposia on Computational Intelligence and Mathematics (ESCIM). Some relevant papers from the last ESCIM-2020 are included in this volume.

Book Discrete Mathematics and Symmetry

Download or read book Discrete Mathematics and Symmetry written by Angel Garrido and published by MDPI. This book was released on 2020-03-05 with total page 458 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Some of the most beautiful studies in Mathematics are related to Symmetry and Geometry. For this reason, we select here some contributions about such aspects and Discrete Geometry. As we know, Symmetry in a system means invariance of its elements under conditions of transformations. When we consider network structures, symmetry means invariance of adjacency of nodes under the permutations of node set. The graph isomorphism is an equivalence relation on the set of graphs. Therefore, it partitions the class of all graphs into equivalence classes. The underlying idea of isomorphism is that some objects have the same structure if we omit the individual character of their components. A set of graphs isomorphic to each other is denominated as an isomorphism class of graphs. The automorphism of a graph will be an isomorphism from G onto itself. The family of all automorphisms of a graph G is a permutation group.

Book Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets

Download or read book Intuitionistic Fuzzy Sets written by Krassimir T. Atanassov and published by Physica. This book was released on 2013-03-20 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In the beginning of 1983, I came across A. Kaufmann's book "Introduction to the theory of fuzzy sets" (Academic Press, New York, 1975). This was my first acquaintance with the fuzzy set theory. Then I tried to introduce a new component (which determines the degree of non-membership) in the definition of these sets and to study the properties of the new objects so defined. I defined ordinary operations as "n", "U", "+" and "." over the new sets, but I had began to look more seriously at them since April 1983, when I defined operators analogous to the modal operators of "necessity" and "possibility". The late George Gargov (7 April 1947 - 9 November 1996) is the "god father" of the sets I introduced - in fact, he has invented the name "intu itionistic fuzzy", motivated by the fact that the law of the excluded middle does not hold for them. Presently, intuitionistic fuzzy sets are an object of intensive research by scholars and scientists from over ten countries. This book is the first attempt for a more comprehensive and complete report on the intuitionistic fuzzy set theory and its more relevant applications in a variety of diverse fields. In this sense, it has also a referential character.

Book Mathematics of Fuzzy Sets and Fuzzy Logic

Download or read book Mathematics of Fuzzy Sets and Fuzzy Logic written by Barnabas Bede and published by Springer. This book was released on 2012-12-14 with total page 281 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a mathematically-based introduction into the fascinating topic of Fuzzy Sets and Fuzzy Logic and might be used as textbook at both undergraduate and graduate levels and also as reference guide for mathematician, scientists or engineers who would like to get an insight into Fuzzy Logic. Fuzzy Sets have been introduced by Lotfi Zadeh in 1965 and since then, they have been used in many applications. As a consequence, there is a vast literature on the practical applications of fuzzy sets, while theory has a more modest coverage. The main purpose of the present book is to reduce this gap by providing a theoretical introduction into Fuzzy Sets based on Mathematical Analysis and Approximation Theory. Well-known applications, as for example fuzzy control, are also discussed in this book and placed on new ground, a theoretical foundation. Moreover, a few advanced chapters and several new results are included. These comprise, among others, a new systematic and constructive approach for fuzzy inference systems of Mamdani and Takagi-Sugeno types, that investigates their approximation capability by providing new error estimates.
