Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Quantitative Organic Microanalysis, Second Edition presents the recommendations of the American Chemical Society group for specification and methods of organic microanalysis. This book is organized into 23 chapters, and starts with discussions on test samples, blank tests, second type of efficient vibration-absorbing balance table, and microchemical balances. Other general topics covered include the Kjeldahl procedures to determine nitrogen compounds; oxygen flask combustions; determination of fluorine; and microhydrogenation. The final chapters present the modification of the procedure for the determination of oxygen using gravimetry. This book will be of great value to microanalysts, researchers, and college students who wants to expand their understanding in organic microanalysis.

Book A Practical Approach to Quantitative Metal Analysis of Organic Matrices

Download or read book A Practical Approach to Quantitative Metal Analysis of Organic Matrices written by Martin Brennan and published by John Wiley & Sons. This book was released on 2008-09-15 with total page 276 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: There has been significant expansion in the application of atomic spectrographic techniques in recent years, which has brought with it the need to provide more flexible methods to a wider range of samples, particularly non-aqueous samples. This book compares the traditional and improved methods in the analysis of non-aqueous samples for elemental analyses by atomic emission spectroscopic methods whilst describing procedures that will attempt to improve sample preparation methods.

Book Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis

Download or read book Instrumental Methods of Chemical Analysis written by V. K. Ahluwalia and published by Springer Nature. This book was released on 2023-07-24 with total page 564 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This textbook describes the theory underlying each instrumental procedure and applications of all instrumental methods. It comprehensively covers the instrumental methods of chemical analysis, chromatography, thermal methods of chemical analysis, electrochemical methods, and instrumental methods of analysis of inorganic compounds. These include thermogravimetric analysis, differential thermal analysis, thermometric titrations, and some miscellaneous thermal methods like derivative thermogravimetric analysis, thermobarography, differential scanning calorimetry, thermomechanical analysis, and electric thermal analysis, flame photometry, fluorimetry and phosphorimetry, nephelometric and turbidimetric techniques, refractory and interferometry, and X-ray methods. Each chapter consists a set of problems to aid self-learning. This textbook is highly useful for graduate and postgraduate students on chemistry and its allied fields. It can also be used as a quick reference material by professionals working in the various fields of chemistry and material science.

Book An Analysis of Independent Restaurants Featuring Organic Food in Metropolitan Cities in the United States

Download or read book An Analysis of Independent Restaurants Featuring Organic Food in Metropolitan Cities in the United States written by Nina Moore and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2017-01-25 with total page 70 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is about independent restaurants that feature organic food on their menus in metropolitan cities in the United States. The authors hope that the current book has encapsulated a timely scholarly analysis that sheds an important light on some of the chief factors that impinge upon the successes and failures of these niched restaurants in the conduct of their operations. Readers should note that in writing this book, our working assumption hinged upon the notion that public policy makers should seek to expand the demand and supply of organic foods to benefit all segments of society, especially those who live in what some called food deserts across metropolitan centers in the United States. In pursuing our crucial analytic objectives, we ensured that the various chapters of the book dwelled essentially on the ethical, managerial and microeconomic factors (menu categories, average cost, revenue, risk-taking, profit etc.) that affected leadership and organizational goals in the context of the independent restaurants that were sampled in the study, whose findings are reported in this book.

Book Limnological Organic Analyses by Quantitative Dichromate Oxidation

Download or read book Limnological Organic Analyses by Quantitative Dichromate Oxidation written by John A. Maciolek and published by . This book was released on 1962 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A limnological oxidation technique, based on procedures employed in soil chemistry, was developed and tested by use of purified organic compounds and various natural substrates. A sample is oxidized by dichromate in a strongly acid medium maintained at 100 C. The amount of dichromate reacting (determined titrimetrically as the difference between the initial and final quantities) is reckoned as Oxygen Consumed, or weigh of oxygen required by the sample. The oxidation serves as the principal step for sensitive determinations of organic carbon (as CO2) and nitrogen (as NH3).
