En el capítulo quinto se presenta una primera aproximación al tratamiento contable del impuesto sobre el valor añadido. Finalmente, el capítulo sexto trata de integrar los aspectos aprendidos en los temas anteriores para que el alumno adquiera una visión del proceso contable en su conjunto. Exceptuando el primer capítulo, más introductorio, el resto de la obra, tras plantear algunos ejercicios resueltos, incluye una serie de ejercicios prácticos propuestos para facilitar el proceso de aprendizaje autónomo.
