Die Tatsache, dass in Deutschland viele Familien mit Migrationshintergrund leben, erfordert eine kultursensible Arbeit in der Kita. Kern der Bachelorarbeit ist es, den interkulturellen Aspekt der verschiedenen Bundesländer zu vergleichen und auf die Bedeutung der interkulturellen Kompetenz näher einzugehen. Darüber hinaus werden die Grundlagen der interkulturellen Arbeit in Kitas erörtert, wobei der:die Erzieher:in und das multikulturelle Team untersucht werden. Auch die Ziele der interkulturellen Arbeit und die Förderung der Resilienz bei Kindern werden erörtert. Das Hauptanliegen der Bachelorarbeit ist es, die Bedeutung und Wichtigkeit von interkultureller Kompetenz zu analysieren.

Der größte Teil dieser Verbesserungsarbeit liegt in der Hand von pädagogischen Kräften. In dieser Hausarbeit möchte ich der Frage nachgehen: Welche Anforderungen stellt die Elternarbeit im Hinblick auf die Vielfältigkeit der Klientel an die pädagogischen Fachkräfte? Nach Angaben des Sachverständigenrats deutscher Stiftungen für Integration und Migration geben Eltern mit Migrationshintergrund ihre Kinder seltener in Kitas als Einheimische. Woran das liegt und was sich die betroffenen Familien wünschen, wurde in einer Studie vom Sachverständigenrat deutscher Stiftungen für Integration und Migration (SVR) untersucht und im Juni 2013 veröffentlicht. Ergebnisse zeigen, dass die Tatsache, dass Eltern mit Migrationshintergrund ihre Kinder in eine deutsche Kita geben, maßgeblich von ihrem Bildungsstatus abhängt. Als Hürden nennen die Eltern selbst unter anderem eine mangelnde interkulturelle Öffnung der Einrichtungen und die aus ihrer Sicht geringe Qualität der Betreuung. Außerdem äußerten die Familien den Wunsch nach einer engeren Zusammenarbeit der Kitas mit den Eltern. Da der Umfang einer solchen Arbeit natürlich nicht nahezu ausreichend wäre, um alle einzelnen Aspekte der Elternarbeit zu beleuchten, möchte ich mich auf Grundsteine interkulturelle Zusammenarbeit und einige praktische Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten beschränken. Ich beginne mit Ist - Situation unsere Gesellschaft und werde die Notwendigkeit interkultureller Bildung und Erziehung belegen. Daraufhin werden Grundlagen und Anforderungen interkultureller Zusammenarbeit mit Eltern näher betrachtet und mit praktischen Umsetzungsmöglichkeiten verkoppelt. Anschließend befasse ich mich mit Perspektiven Interkultureller Praxis
