Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Intelligent System Exploration of Web User Behavior is a field that combines artificial intelligence, data analytics, and user behavior analysis to understand and explore how individuals interact with websites and online platforms. It involves the use of computational intelligence techniques to extract valuable insights from user actions, preferences, and patterns in order to enhance user experience, optimize website design, and improve business outcomes. By employing advanced algorithms and machine learning models, Intelligent System Exploration can collect and analyze vast amounts of data related to user behavior on websites. This data includes user clicks, navigation paths, time spent on pages, interactions with forms or buttons, and other relevant metrics. These patterns and behaviors are then processed and interpreted to gain a deeper understanding of user preferences, intentions, and needs.

Book Intelligent Exploration of the Web

Download or read book Intelligent Exploration of the Web written by Piotr S. Szczepaniak and published by Physica. This book was released on 2012-11-08 with total page 430 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Web is the nervous system of information society. As such, it has a pervasive influence on our daily lives. And yet, in some ways the Web does not have a high MIQ (Machine IQ). What can be done to enhance it? This is the leitmotif of "Intelligent Exploration of the Web," (lEW)--a collection of articles co-edited by Drs. Szczepaniak, Segovia, Kacprzyk and, to a small degree, myself. The articles that comprise lEW address many basic problems ranging from structure analysis of Internet documents and Web dialogue management to intelligent Web agents for extraction of information, and bootstrapping an ontology-based information extraction system. Among the basic problems, one that stands out in importance is the problem of search. Existing search engines have many remarkable capabilities. But what is not among them is the deduction capability--the capability to answer a query by drawing on information which resides in various parts of the knowledge base. An example of a query might be "How many Ph.D. degrees in computer science were granted by European universities in 1996?" No existing search engine is capable of dealing with queries of comparable or even much lower complexity. Basically, what we would like to do is to add deduction capability to a search engine, with the aim of transforming it into a question-answering system, or a QI A system, for short. This is a problem that is of major importance and a challenge that is hard to meet.

Book An Intelligent System for Exploration of Web User Behavior

Download or read book An Intelligent System for Exploration of Web User Behavior written by Patil Ujwala Manoj and published by A.K. Publications. This book was released on 2022-12-22 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Advances in information technology extend the use of the Internet in various areas such as communication, research, education, financial transaction, real-time updates, online booking, job search, blogging and shopping. This widespread use of the Internet has turned the World Wide Web (WWW) into the largest information source where individuals or organizations publish their ideas to people or end users through the Web. The Web is a collection of documents, images, sounds, videos, and animations interrelated by hyperlinks and accessed through Uniform Resource Identifiers (URIs). The Web is mostly semistructured and/or unstructured data repository and data available on the Web is a huge, diverse, and dynamic in nature . Web mining is the application of data mining techniques to discover hidden or interesting knowledge from WWW. Web mining is divided into three categories as Web Usage Mining (WUM), Web Content Mining (WCM) and Web Structure Mining (WSM). In Web content mining, the data used for the mining process is actually present in the Web pages which conveys information to the users. The contents of Web pages may be varied e.g. text, HTML, audio, video, images, etc. In Web structure mining, the data used for the mining process is the organization of the Web pages connected through hyperlinks. Various HTML tags are used to link one page to another page and one website to another website. In Web usage mining, the data used for the mining process is usage data of the website. The usage data reflects the usage of website which can be collected at various sources like Web servers, proxy server, and client browser with various attributes. The variations in the sources of data are due to the place where it has been collected. Web usage data is also referred to as Web log data or files.

Download or read book Adaptive Web Sites written by J.D. Velásquez and published by IOS Press. This book was released on 2008-02-28 with total page 296 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book can be presented in two different ways. Firstly, it introduces a particular methodology to build adaptive Web sites and secondly, it presents the main concepts behind Web mining and then applying them to adaptive Web sites. In this case, Adaptive Web Sites is the case study to exemplify the tools introduced in the text. The authors start by introducing the Web and motivating the need for adaptive Web sites. The second chapter introduces the main concepts behind a Web site: its operation, its associated data and structure, user sessions, etc. Chapter three explains the Web mining process and the tools to analyze Web data, mainly focused in machine learning. The fourth chapter looks at how to store and manage data. Chapter five looks at the three main and different mining tasks: content, links and usage. The following chapter covers Web personalization; a crucial topic if we want to adapt our site to specific groups of people. Chapter seven shows how to use information extraction techniques to find user behavior patterns. The subsequent chapter explains how to acquire and maintain knowledge extracted from the previous phase. Finally, chapter nine contains the case study where all the previous concepts are applied to present a framework to build adaptive Web sites. In other words, the authors have taken care of writing a self-contained book for people that want to learn and apply personalization and adaptation in Web sites. This is commendable considering the large and increasing bibliography in these and related topics. The writing is easy to follow and although the coverage is not exhaustive, the main concepts and topics are all covered.
