Only a limited supply was published and it became one of the most sought after authoritative books on surveying. This is a reprint of Harvey's 1914 manual of instructions, complete with original photos, diagrams, and text. Nebraska .licensed land surveyor Jerold F. Penry adds a preface to the reprint as well as a biography of Robert Harvey at the end of the book.
