Download or read book Adios a Los Mitos de La Innovacion Blanco Y Negro written by Mario Morales and published by . This book was released on 2013-06-08 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Innovacion.

Book Learning Capability Building and Innovation for Development

Download or read book Learning Capability Building and Innovation for Development written by G. Dutrénit and published by Springer. This book was released on 2013-08-22 with total page 483 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Today, a large number of scholars studying development understand this process as involving learning and capability building. Capability building is an active, not a passive, process. It requires a purposeful effort from the learner's side, with support and commitment on allocation of time and resources toward learning activities. This process implies the possibility of failure as well as success, as we also learn from failures. A global cast of academics and policy makers examines economic development as a process of learning and technological accumulation, showing how economic development is a process involving creative destruction. While markets and market competition play major roles in structuring the development process, non-market institutions and government policies matter.

Book Regionalism Development and the Post Commodities Boom in South America

Download or read book Regionalism Development and the Post Commodities Boom in South America written by Ernesto Vivares and published by Springer. This book was released on 2017-11-15 with total page 348 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is a critical and multidisciplinary IPE of the unequal structures of South American development and uneven insertions in the global order following the decline of the commodities boom. The work explores the extent to which regional development issues are related to merely a decline of commodities ́ prices and/or to the resilience of the historical structures within an unequal world order. Thus, the authors seek first to analytically explore the regional issues beyond the formal limitations of North American and Eurocentric approaches. Secondly, they empirically scrutinize the complex dimensions of regional inequality and global insertions. Aspects analysed include economic reprimarization, the impact of China, development finance, trade and regional value chains, knowledge and technology, regional and transnational organised crime, cities, economic integration and the Global South.

Download or read book Regional Governance and Policy Making in South America written by Anne Marie Hoffmann and published by Springer. This book was released on 2018-10-09 with total page 199 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book analyzes Latin American regional integration with a novel conceptual approach grounded in extensive field research. Using the UNASUR (Unión de Naciones Suramericanas) as a case study, the author investigates the process of policy-making in regional public policy fields in South America. The project focuses on intergovernmental structures of regional organizations as an institutional framework for a variety of independent processes in regions. It also challenges the perspective of democratic states as unitary actors and seeks to analyze the factors which favor or obstruct regional processes in different policy-fields. This work will appeal to researchers, graduate students and anyone interested in Latin American politics and policy-making.
