La situación anterior por lo general se presenta en el momento en que el ingeniero asciende a un puesto gerencial o directivo, o bien cuando pretende desarrollar su propia empresa. En la mayoría de las universidades e instituciones de educación superior de México se forman muy buenos profesionistas en las diversas áreas de la ingeniería, pero diversas razones, su formación en el área gerencial o administrativa es limitada en la mayoría de los casos, recurriendo entonces los ingenieros a cursar posgrados en áreas administrativas. Ante tal situación, es que surge el interés de redactar este libro, tomando como base las experiencias vividas por los autores durante muchos años de labores de investigación y asesoría en diferentes empresas afiliadas a la CANACO y a la COPARMEX en la zona de Tampico y Cd. Madero, Tamaulipas y como docentes de licenciatura y posgrado en la Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas en Tampico. Se desea que este material pueda ser de utilidad a algunos profesionista de la ingeniería con los intereses puestos en la administración empresarial y con el desarrollo de negocios.
