This is an analysis of whether e-Government has improved public service through the implementation of new technology or Information Communication Technology (ICT). There are various elements that form a part of this analysis. Analyzing the challenges associated with the delivery of services through e-government is an important part the evaluation. One of those challenges is information overload. When there is an infinite amount of information then there is a possibility it all turns into noise. It creates confusion and the public is then unable to find the right resources for a given set of circumstances. Another challenge faced by e-Government delivery services is the disparity between those members of the public that have access and are technologically inclined versus those of perhaps an older generation that do not have the means or technological skills. This in turn creates a disadvantaged part of society trailing behind and ousted. Yet another challenge faced by e-Government is the complexity in the design and network infrastructure necessary for the delivery of services. Networked Governance is necessary for streamlining the internal organizational processes for effective policy implementation. Also aimed at increasing effectiveness and efficiency of services delivered to the public. Lastly, the final and probably the most concerning challenge faced by e-Government is how to keep networked information safe. Most of the effort exercised by government is aimed at the interoperability of information and transparency. Leaving a door wide open to vulnerabilities and information compromise giving rise to privacy enhancing technologies.
