Book Bond Strength Evaluation of Three Different Generation of Adhesives

Download or read book Bond Strength Evaluation of Three Different Generation of Adhesives written by Huma Iftekhar and published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing. This book was released on 2012 with total page 88 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The widespread demand for, and use of dental adhesives has fueled an intense development of better and easier dental adhesives in rapid succession and dentists have literally been inundated with successive "generations" of adhesive materials. The "generational" definitions help in identification of chemistries involved, the strength of dentinal bond and the ease of use for the practitioner. The clinical use of resin composites has expanded considerably over the past few years due to increased esthetic demands by patients, new improved formulations and simplification of bonding procedures. Evaluation of bond strength provides a screening mechanism use of adhesives and an indication of the potential for their clinical success.the purpose of this study was to find and compare the shear bond strength of three different generation of adhesive systems fifth, sixth and seventh to dentin of human molars using same composite.

Book DENTIN BONDING AGENTS

    Book Details:
  • Author : DR. DAMINI PATIL
  • Publisher : Blue Rose Publishers
  • Release : 2022-11-26
  • ISBN :
  • Pages : 207 pages

Download or read book DENTIN BONDING AGENTS written by DR. DAMINI PATIL and published by Blue Rose Publishers. This book was released on 2022-11-26 with total page 207 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: During the last two decades, adhesive restorative dentistry has increasingly proven its tremendous clinical potential, first in the anterior and more recently in the posterior segments of the mouth. Adhesive techniques have greatly expanded the horizon of aesthetic dentistry. Correction of shapes, positions, dimensions and shades of teeth are now possible with the restorative materials. Repair of fractured teeth can be carried out using the fractured tooth fragments there by maintaining original aesthetics. The continued developments of adhesive materials are now focused on gaining a better understanding of factors affecting adhesion in the oral environment to improve the clinical longevity of restorative materials.

Book Dentin Bond Strength

    Book Details:
  • Author : Sumangali Anand
  • Publisher : LAP Lambert Academic Publishing
  • Release : 2012-05
  • ISBN : 9783845420738
  • Pages : 92 pages

Download or read book Dentin Bond Strength written by Sumangali Anand and published by LAP Lambert Academic Publishing. This book was released on 2012-05 with total page 92 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The purpose of this study was to measure and compare the In- vitro shear bond strengths of two commercial dental adhesive systems. All Bond 2 and Prime & Bond 2.0 to dry, moist and overwet dentine. Data generated from this In-vitro study indicated that mean bond strengths of All Bond 2 and Prime & Bond 2.0 were better to moist dentine than to dry dentine. The mean bond strengths to dry dentine were better than over wet dentine surfaces while the moist dentine surfaces exhibited significant stronger bond strengths as when compared to over wet dentine surfaces for both the adhesive bonds

Book Dental Hard Tissues and Bonding

Download or read book Dental Hard Tissues and Bonding written by George Eliades and published by Springer Science & Business Media. This book was released on 2005-12-06 with total page 201 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book comprehensively reviews bonding to enamel, dentin and cementum and analyses relevant adhesion mechanisms. It is addressed to both the dental researcher and the clinician. Emphasis is placed on the characterization of material interfaces with dental tissues in situ. The volume also stresses the importance of appropriate experimental protocol design in facilitating clinically-relevant research methods, clarifies the mechanisms of adhesion of polymeric materials to hard dental tissues and furnishes a handy reference for routine clinical procedures in restorative and prosthetic dentistry as well as orthodontics. The book introduces important aspects of the chemistry of dental materials and their adaptation to dental hard tissues. It also analyses interfacial phenomena occurring during application of materials, including mechanical properties, and structural-compositional alterations. The text presents the current instrumental approaches in studying related issues and a summary of the current status of theories concerning bonding to dental tissues. This work, in its scope and scientific content, provides an in-depth view of the way in which aesthetic dentistry is currently being practiced.
