Para lo anterior se plantea un objetivo general y tres objetivos específicos, donde se expresa la intención de aplicar la Norma ISO 9004:2000 en la Cámara de Comercio de Santa Rosa de Cabal, para de esta manera resolver el problema identificado. La Norma con sus anexos en una herramienta que facilita la implementación de la mejora continúa en cualquier tipo de organización, para la Cámara de Comercio de Santa Rosa de Cabal, se aplicó la metodología de auto evaluación recomendada por la Norma, ya que es sencilla y fácil de usar y determina rápidamente al grado de madurez de una organización. De acuerdo a las 50 preguntas de la auto evolución, se priorizaron las áreas a intervenir y se establecieron los planes de mejora, realizando una propuesta de Caracterización de los procesos de la organización, de acuerdo con los resultados esperados de cada numeral y a las recomendaciones realizadas por la norma. Después de desarrollar esta investigación, se dará continuidad al proceso de propuesto y se trabajará para que la entidad sea reconocida por la promoción de la excelencia, no solo frente al gremio de las Cámaras de Comercio sino por promover la calidad como estrategia de Desarrollo Empresarial.

Book excerpt: Resumen: El trabajo investigativo consistió en evaluar un Sistema de Gestión Calidad que estuviera certificado bajo la Norma Técnica ISO 9001, el cual debía estar ya en marcha como mínimo unos años para poder analizar en él su grado de desarrollo, para lo cual se le solicito a la entidad Cámara de Comercio de Cartago que se le permitiera al S.G.C que la empresa ya tenía Certificado desde hace tres años aplicar una evaluación diagnóstica bajo los lineamientos y directrices que aporta la Norma Técnica ISO 9004, con el objeto y propósito principal de establecer un Plan de Mejoramiento Continuo para la organización. En primera instancia se efectuó una sensibilización con todos los líderes de proceso de la entidad (Presidencia Ejecutiva, Registros Públicos, Conciliación, Capacitación, Gestión de los Recursos y Mejoramiento Continuo) en donde se les planteo la propuesta para efectuar el diagnóstico y se les introdujo a la NTC- ISO 9004, sensibilizándolos sobre los aspectos de mejora que ésta referencia y sobre cómo mide el nivel de madurez del sistema con base en 5 criterios (Sin aproximación formal, Aproximación reactiva, Aproximación del sistema formal estable, Énfasis en la mejora continua, Desempeño de mejor en su clase). Es así como se aplico la evaluación diagnostica dividiendo las preguntas de acuerdo a los procesos, para lo cual se hizo una primera etapa de evaluación con el funcionario de Coordinación de Calidad de la entidad quien aportó las evidencias que sustentaban el buen desempeño o no de cada proceso evaluado; después de ésta evaluación preliminar se organizaron reuniones con cada líder de proceso donde se les informó la puntación preliminar que había obtenido su área y que evidencias podía aportar él para mejorar dicha calificación.
