Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A classic in the making, this heartwarming story about empathy and imagination is one that families will treasure for years to come. Adrian Simcox tells anyone who will listen that he has a horse--the best and most beautiful horse anywhere. But Chloe does NOT believe him. Adrian Simcox lives in a tiny house. Where would he keep a horse? He has holes in his shoes. How would he pay for a horse? The more Adrian talks about his horse, the angrier Chloe gets. But when she calls him out at school and even complains about him to her mom, Chloe doesn't get the vindication she craves. She gets something far more important. Written with tenderness and poignancy and gorgeously illustrated, this book will show readers that kindness is always rewarding, understanding is sweeter than judgment, and friendship is the best gift one can give.
Download or read book Quiet Man written by G. Cleveland and published by Christian Faith Publishing, Inc.. This book was released on 2019-09-24 with total page 475 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Quiet Man deals with a lot of today's contemporary issues including, divorce, extramarital relationships, impact of divorce on a family, single parenting, depression, overcoming a major disability, romance, conspiracy, intrigue, being screwed by corporate America, losing the love of your life, trials of being a parent, and financial hardship. The Quiet Man is based on a true story, so a majority of the people can relate to these things, will develop an interest in the story, almost living part of the story, saying, "Been there, done that." The Quiet Man not only tells about all the experiences but provides a recipe for a better life to correct the past errors and make America a gentler place to live. The Quiet Man also explores why society is out of control, how today's problems are not running as rapidly one generation ago. ***** The book went through an evolution process; at the time I started to write the book, it was a way to win back my children that I thought I lost because of depression and divorce, then it turned into a beautiful love story to win back the love of my life, then in a turning point, it took a more spiritual journey, and it seemed like God had taken over writing the book, with a recipe of the future ideal society and getting back to the basics. Since the story is a beautiful love story, many people will be lured into picking up the book to read an interesting novel; it takes place in numerous locations, but my fond memories are the ones of the East Coast of Connecticut and Rhode Island. I think there are so many people out there looking for answers, and The Quiet Man helps provide a number of the answers to making America a better place to live. I believe a lot of our problems in today's society are relationship issues, and if we can build a strong family nucleus, then we can solve a lot of society's future problems.

Download or read book Children Learn What Grandparents Teach written by Mavis Aldridge Ph.D. and published by AuthorHouse. This book was released on 2022-10-20 with total page 50 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In several cultures, grandparents have been revered as the wisdom keepers. In recent years, changes have occurred in many families due to developments in transportation, new technologies, and the pursuit of lucrative careers. As a result, many families found new living locations far from where they were born and raised. Grandparents and grandchildren often get separated in the process. It is the intention of this book to recapture some of the ‘pearls of wisdom’ that some grandparents have shared with their children and communities. Although the focus is on Fifth Graders, Children Learn What Grandparents Teach can prove interesting and adaptable also for students in the Fourth and Sixth Grades. The book has the potential to be a valuable gift to grandparents, children, relatives, teachers, and friends. However, it also has a high potential to be the basis for school activities, lively conversations and sharing of experiences, applications to current and past events, as well as a guide for recalling and exploring several more idioms.
