Book I m Hungry Easy Family Recipes Free From Milk Egg Soya Wheat Gluten

Download or read book I m Hungry Easy Family Recipes Free From Milk Egg Soya Wheat Gluten written by Tanya Wright and published by DoctorZed Publishing. This book was released on 2012-08-10 with total page 74 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: "This book is a fantastic example of how allergy free cooking can still provide interesting and exciting food for the whole family. Tanya has an incredible insight into the challenges of food allergy and this really comes across - her recipes are simple but nutritious and the book is packed full of handy tips. I am sure your whole family will enjoy this."- Dr Adam Fox, Paediatric Allergist A restricted diet can be daunting, but if it is embraced it can be surprising just how easy it can be to prepare and how tasty the recipes are. This keeps the focus on what can be eaten and enjoyed rather than what cannot. The right diet for children is one that helps them grow and develop, but also one that establishes a foundation for normal behaviour around food and one that is varied, tasty and nutritious. Unfortunately some children who have food allergies do develop abnormal behaviour around food. Some are scared of food because they associate it with an unpleasant experience whilst others associate certain foods with anxiety – (sometimes parental). This is why normalising food, and eating as much variety as possible is the key to successful management. Issues that some children with food allergies can have due to their mistrust of foods include: • Poor acceptance and or dislike of certain textures. Dislikes of lumps or more than one texture served at a time • Dislike of foods touching each other on a plate – if they are served in separate bowls or on compartmentalised plates this is often acceptable • Refusing to eat with others – some want to eat alone or even in their bedrooms • Hiding foods that are considered as unacceptable • Accepting foods only when what is being eaten can be identified. A dish containing mixed foods such as bolognaise or stew is not acceptable to the child • Refusing foods usually eaten because a disliked food is on the same plate. With nutritious recipes for meals and snacks, this cookbook will get your fussy eaters eating a healthy and well-balanced diet. Everything a parent could ask for.

Book Learn to Cook Wheat Gluten and Dairy Free

Download or read book Learn to Cook Wheat Gluten and Dairy Free written by Antoinette Savill and published by . This book was released on 2009 with total page 168 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book is aimed at the millions of people suffering from sensitivity to wheat, dairy products and gluten. If you are told that you must follow a wheat, gluten or dairy free diet, where do you begin to work out what you can eat safely? One thing is for sure you will have to start cooking for yourself at home since there are very few ready meals available that will be suitable for your restricted diet. The simplest and safest course is to prepare your own meals, that way you will know for certain that your food does not include any hidden ingredients that might trigger your allergy or intolerance. Many people find cooking becomes a tyranny if they have to make family meals and then a small portion of allergy free food for one person. Simpler by far to prepare recipes that are delicious for the entire family, but if you have been used to relying on ready prepared meals you may not be a confident cook or you may not have a repertoire of dishes to rely on. This book will help you build up your confidence and encourage you to cook so often that you will become a stress-free cook. The recipes are smart, modern, international and anything but depriving by using alternative ingredients such as coconut milk and rice flour. It provides recipes for all those meals, snacks, cakes and biscuits you have been used to picking up ready-made in the supermarket - soups, sauces, lasagne, macaroni cheese, fish pie, burgers, casseroles, muffins, cup cakes, Christmas cake, cheesecake, crumble, apple pie, sausage rolls, quiche, pitta bread as well as that much loved favourite sticky toffee pudding. There are also recipes for special occasions - from Christmas and birthdays to entertaining.
