Severe competition happened not only among brands in the same type of soft-drink, but also among different types of soft-drinks. The situation make understanding the factors which influence consumer decision-making in choosing soft-drinks become important. This research was conducted on five types of soft-drinks that represent more than 90% of Indonesia soft-drink market volume, in five consumption situations where more than 85% of that soft-drinks market volume is consumed. Understanding the factors that influence consumer when choosing what type of soft-drink to consume will help soft-drinks industry players to develop more effective marketing strategies.

This study investigates the impact of consumer's perception in selecting beverage products between Pepsi cola & Mojo cola. A survey was conducted by a significant number of respondents from the Pabna University of Science & Technology & surrounding areas. The data analyses were conducted by descriptive factor analysis, statistical tools & technique. The results revealed that the most of the consumers are highly concerned about the perception of brand regarding selection of Pepsi cola & Mojo cola beverage drinks. This is a relatively new issue that remains largely undiscovered by researchers under our country's perspective. It is hoped that the findings may assist the local (Akij Beverage Ltd.) and multinational (Transcom Beverage Ltd.) beverage companies about the necessities of enhancing their brand perception. The paper adds to the existing body of research on beverage consumers particularly on consumer's perceptions and expectations from these brands.

Clients are experts in their own recovery from SUDs. Counselors should engage them in collaborative partnerships. Ambivalence about change is normal. Resistance to change is an expression of ambivalence about change, not a client trait or characteristic. Confrontational approaches increase client resistance and discord in the counseling relationship. Motivational approaches explore ambivalence in a nonjudgmental and compassionate way.

Book excerpt: Some research suggests that increasing the number of options may be harmful for consumers by increasing their difficulty with choosing, which increases their likelihood of experiencing regret. However, other research suggests that increasing the number of options may also be beneficial by satisfying consumers' diverse tastes and variety-seeking needs. Thus, it isn't clear whether - or when - more choice would be harmful or beneficial for consumers. I propose that the motivation for choosing as either extrinsic or intrinsic impacts consumers' satisfaction with the chosen option differently. For extrinsic choices where consumers are choosing an option to achieve some separable consequence, more choice increases the difficulty with choosing, which decreases satisfaction. For intrinsic choices where consumers are choosing an option for its inherent rewards, more choice increases the autonomy from choosing, which increases satisfaction. Crucially, this difficulty or autonomy occurs because consumers perceive variety with more choice, even though more choice does not necessarily mean a greater objective amount of variety. I conclude by discussing how understanding the motivation for choosing has implications for researchers and marketers who study or provide choice to consumers.
