Download or read book Controversy Creates Cash written by Eric Bischoff and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2006 with total page 401 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Under Eric Bishoff's watch as president of WCW, the company went head to head with Vince McMahon's WWE and beat them at their own game before WCW itself spectacularly imploded. But by then, Bishoff had made an indelible mark on televised wrestling, producing shows that had appeared more dangerous, more sexy, and more edgy than anything that had come before. He did this to such an extent that in 2002, McMahon seized the chance to bring in his former nemesis as General Manager of RAW; since then, true to form, Bishoff regularly surprises fans with matches that would once have been unthinkable for television. In this revelatory look at his life and career, Bishoff frankly discusses the things he did, both right and wrong, as he helped shape the sports entertainment industry into today's billion dollar business.

Download or read book When the Past Is Always Present written by Ronald A. Ruden and published by Routledge. This book was released on 2011-01-19 with total page 239 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: When the Past Is Always Present: Emotional Traumatization, Causes, and Cures introduces several new ideas about trauma and trauma treatment. The first of these is that another way to treat disorders arising from the mind/brain may be to use the senses. This idea, which is at the core of psychosensory therapy, forms what the author considers the "third pillar" of trauma treatment (the first and second pillars being psychotherapy and psychopharmacology). Psychosensory therapy postulates that sensory input—for example, touch—creates extrasensory activity that alters brain function and the way we respond to stimuli. The second idea presented in this book is that traumatization is encoded in the amygdala only under special circumstances. Thus, by understanding what makes an individual resistant to traumatization we can offer a way of preventing it. The third idea is that traumatization occurs because we cannot find a haven during the event. This is the cornerstone of havening, the particular form of psychosensory therapy described in the book. Using evolutionary biological principles and recently published neuroscientific studies, this book outlines in detail how havening touch de-links the emotional experience from a trauma, essentially making it just an ordinary memory. Once done, the event no longer causes distress.

Download or read book Qui n soy yo para juzgar written by Papa Francisco and published by ORIGEN LIBROS. This book was released on 2017-09-26 with total page 182 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

ENGLISH DESCRIPTION "Christian humility teaches not to point fingers in judgement of others, but instead to reach out to them and lend a helping hand without ever feeling superior to them." –Pope Francis In Who Am I to Judge?Pope Francis reminds us to always keep in mind and follow one of Jesus’ greatest teachings: Don’t judge others so that you are not judged. The same way in which you judge, you will be judged by others, and with the same standards that you hold on to others, you will be measured. In these pages His Holiness reflects upon many current social subjects like sexuality, civil unions, homosexuality, families in turmoil, euthanasia, abortion, and birth control; as well as religious freedom, ecology, finances, and new kinds of slavery. These and other difficult subjects are addressed in the Christian doctrine. Who Am I to Judge?is the ideal book for learning the basis of Christianity with the teachings of Pope Francis.
