Book excerpt: Ancient alien conspiracy theorists have been correct all this time, while the rest of the world thought of them as a bunch of kooks running around wearing aluminum foil hats. Every civilization on earth has a history filled with drawings, statues, temples, pyramids, cave drawings, etc., showing ancient beings roaming the earth and skies. These beings come in all shapes and sizes. Egypt gives us the half-human, half-animal, whereas India is known for drawings showing flying gods battling one another. One thing is correct regarding the gods at war: presently, these immortals have a time out in place. This is the good news. The bad news is, an artifact was found on a sunken Liberty ship in the Bermuda Triangle. This artifact may be the key that will start the god's machines of war, thus placing the human race in the crossfire between the warring immortals. Before any of the immortals gets control of the artifact, it falls into the hands of one of the most self-centered humans the world has ever had to date. His goal of controlling his "New World Order" is within his reach if he ever learns how to control the artifact. Nicki and Noah Colter are fraternal twins, and both have doctorate degrees in archeology. Nicki is an expert in Egyptian history, and Noah is as well-known in the Mayan circles. The conspiracy theorists have said there has been a connection between the two civilizations and it is more than just their pyramids. The twins are on the other side of the fence in this theory, with no connection in any way, shape, or form. Their world is turned upside down, however, with this connection, and to top it off, they have to find the artifact first then keep it from the warring gods.

Book excerpt: This book reflects the various styles of poetry—like prose, metaphor, simile, etc.—with one fairy tale (Lisa’s Unforgettable Stories: First Mommy Series), seven stories in all, and twelve short stories to follow. One book was written in memory of Mom. This book of poetry is the fifth. There are 355 brand-new poems and also about seventy brand-new written songs. Again, there are some R&B, but most are gospel. All books, poems, songs, and stories written were inspired by God. I give God the glory for the inspiration to write them, the talent to do so and to edit them, and the blessing to be able to have them published. It was very hard work, but Jesus is my coauthor, and he only brought and saw me through. I must give him the praise and honor for blessing me abundantly with much favor and encouraging me to finish each project that he gave the inspiration for.

Book Valentine

    Book Details:
  • Author : Chet Raymo
  • Publisher : Cowley Publications
  • Release : 2007-02-25
  • ISBN : 1461636086
  • Pages : 308 pages

Download or read book Valentine written by Chet Raymo and published by Cowley Publications. This book was released on 2007-02-25 with total page 308 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Little is known about Valentine, whose name symbolizes romantic love. Chet Raymo draws on the tradition that Valentine was a physician in love with the blind Julia to thread his way through the fabric of romance while illuminating the world of the Roman Empire of Claudius II—a time when Christian deaths provided public entertainment. The ideas in Valentine are startlingly relevant to our own times: globalization vs. fundamentalism, reason vs. superstition, the subversion of virtue by wealth—and the power of passionate love to overcome all obstacles to its consummation.
