Book Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Deer Fly Repellent AI3 70087 2 Hydroxyethyl Cyclohexanecarboxylate

Download or read book Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Deer Fly Repellent AI3 70087 2 Hydroxyethyl Cyclohexanecarboxylate written by Richard A. Angerhofer and published by . This book was released on 1975 with total page 25 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A hazard evaluation of the candidate deer fly repellent 2-hydroxyethyl cyclohexanecarboxylate (AI3-70087) was performed by means of laboratory animal studies using rats, rabbits, guinea pigs and dogs, and in vitro studies using bacteria, yeast and mouse lymphoma cells. The technical grade compound did not produce primary irritation when applied to the intact or abraded skin of rabbits. Daily application of AI3-70087, as a 10 percent solution in ethyl alcohol to the intact skin of rabbits for 15 days, produced no deleterious local skin effects. Mild injury to the cornea and slight chemosis, redness and discharge of the conjunctiva, resulted from single application to the eyes of rabbits. Data indicated that this compound may be harmful if accidentally swallowed. The compound did not produce a skin sensitization reaction in guinea pigs or a photochemical skin irritation reaction in rabbits. Studies of percutaneous penetration using C(14) labeled compound indicated that this material is absorbed through the skin of rabbits and dogs, and is partially excreted in the urine. An in vitro mutagenic evaluation of AI3-70087 was inconclusive.

Book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36539 1 Cyclohexylcarbonyl 2 Ethylipiperidine

Download or read book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36539 1 Cyclohexylcarbonyl 2 Ethylipiperidine written by Maurice H. Weeks and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A hazard evaluation of AI3-36539 was conducted using New Zealand White rabbits for skin and eye irritation studies and Hartley guinea pigs for a skin sensitization study. Technical grade compound caused in rabbits moderate to severe skin irritation, and mild injury to cornea with some injury to the conjunctiva of the eyes. Ethanol solutions of AI3-36539 caused primary skin irritation and may be irritating to the skin of man.

Book Topical Hazard Evaluation Program of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 35770 Hexahydro 1 2 Methylcyclohexyl Carbonyl 1 H Azepine

Download or read book Topical Hazard Evaluation Program of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 35770 Hexahydro 1 2 Methylcyclohexyl Carbonyl 1 H Azepine written by R. D. Russell and published by . This book was released on 1985 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Topical Hazard Evaluations of USDA Candidate Insect Repellent AI3-35770 were performed using New Zealand White rabbits, albino Hartley guinea pigs, and Sprague Dawley rats. Chemical AI3-35770 produced moderate to severe primary dermal irritation and necrosis in rabbits and guinea pigs. These effects were quantitatively worse in rabbits than in guinea pigs. This compound was moderately toxic to rats when given by the oral route.

Book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36542 1 cyclohexylcarbonyl 1 2 3 6 tetrahydropyridine

Download or read book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36542 1 cyclohexylcarbonyl 1 2 3 6 tetrahydropyridine written by Maurice H. Weeks and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A hazard evaluation of AI3-36542 was conducted using New Zealand White rabbits for skin and eye studies; Hartley guinea pigs for a skin sensitization study; and Sprague-Dawley, Wistar-derived rats for determination of acute oral toxicity. Technical grade AI3-36542 caused moderate corneal opacity and severe conjunctivitis, while ethanol solutions of this compound caused primary skin irritation.

Book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36558 3 Methyl 1 2 Methylcyclohexyl carbonyl Piperidine

Download or read book Topical Hazard Evaluation of Candidate Insect Repellent AI3 36558 3 Methyl 1 2 Methylcyclohexyl carbonyl Piperidine written by Maurice H. Weeks and published by . This book was released on 1977 with total page 10 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: A hazard evaluation of AI3-36558 was conducted using New Zealand White rabbits for skin and eye studies, Hartley guinea pigs for a skin sensitization study, and Sprague-Dawley, Wistar-derived rats for determination of oral toxicity. It was found that AI3-36558 is a potential sensitizing chemical. Technical grade compound produced moderate injury to the cornea and to the conjunctiva of the rabbit and may cause similar damage if it should accidentally enter the eye of man.
