Hailstorms are identified by totaling seven weighted indicators based on a three-dimensional reflectivity structure of an ideal hailstorm. The weighting functions for each indicator and the total identifying the storms were determined by testing the algorithm with radar data that were verified by ground truth data. By use of these findings, the probability of detecting hail is 94 percent with a false alarm ratio of 6 percent for a critical success index (CSI) = 0.886 for this test sample.

The only film based on the biblical story of the Virgin Mary, Godard’s Hail Mary is a contemporary Swiss/French representation of Mary’s virgin pregnancy, the birth of her son, and her relationship with Joseph and her young child. While neither film is overtly religious, the initial release of Hail Mary brought public protests, court cases, a physical attack on Godard, and condemnation by the Pope.
