Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Guinea is a country located in West Africa. It is bordered by several countries including Mali, Liberia, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, and Sierra Leone. Guinea has an area of approximately 245,860 square kilometers and a population of about 12.4 million people. It is rich in mineral resources such as bauxite, gold, and diamonds, making it a major exporter of these resources to other countries. Despite its abundance of natural resources, Guinea is considered one of the poorest countries in the world. Almost half of the population lives below the poverty line, with inadequate access to basic infrastructures such as water, sanitation, and electricity. The country has also suffered from political instability, with several coups and military dictatorships in its recent history. However, Guinea has made some progress in recent years towards improving its economic and political situation, with the introduction of democratic reforms and more stable governance.
