Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What Is Ground Level Power Supply In the concept and group of technologies known as ground-level power supply (also known as surface current collection or, in French, alimentation par le sol), electric vehicles collect electric power at ground level from individually powered segments as opposed to the more common overhead power lines. The usage of a power supply located at ground level has been done largely for aesthetic reasons. In the latter part of the 2010s, it began to compete well with the overhead lines in terms of cost. How You Will Benefit (I) Insights, and validations about the following topics: Chapter 1: Ground-level power supply Chapter 2: Tram Chapter 3: Light rail Chapter 4: Overhead line Chapter 5: Third rail Chapter 6: Alstom Citadis Chapter 7: Pantograph (transport) Chapter 8: Conduit current collection Chapter 9: Bombardier Guided Light Transit Chapter 10: Tramway track Chapter 11: History of trams Chapter 12: Stud contact system Chapter 13: Reims tramway Chapter 14: Current collector Chapter 15: Rubber-tyred tram Chapter 16: Trams in France Chapter 17: Road-powered electric vehicle Chapter 18: Torquay Tramways Chapter 19: Rio de Janeiro Light Rail Chapter 20: Acumulador de Carga R-pida Chapter 21: Alstom APS (II) Answering the public top questions about ground level power supply. Book Advanced VLSI Design and Testability Issues

Download or read book Advanced VLSI Design and Testability Issues written by Suman Lata Tripathi and published by CRC Press. This book was released on 2020-08-19 with total page 391 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book facilitates the VLSI-interested individuals with not only in-depth knowledge, but also the broad aspects of it by explaining its applications in different fields, including image processing and biomedical. The deep understanding of basic concepts gives you the power to develop a new application aspect, which is very well taken care of in this book by using simple language in explaining the concepts. In the VLSI world, the importance of hardware description languages cannot be ignored, as the designing of such dense and complex circuits is not possible without them. Both Verilog and VHDL languages are used here for designing. The current needs of high-performance integrated circuits (ICs) including low power devices and new emerging materials, which can play a very important role in achieving new functionalities, are the most interesting part of the book. The testing of VLSI circuits becomes more crucial than the designing of the circuits in this nanometer technology era. The role of fault simulation algorithms is very well explained, and its implementation using Verilog is the key aspect of this book. This book is well organized into 20 chapters. Chapter 1 emphasizes on uses of FPGA on various image processing and biomedical applications. Then, the descriptions enlighten the basic understanding of digital design from the perspective of HDL in Chapters 2–5. The performance enhancement with alternate material or geometry for silicon-based FET designs is focused in Chapters 6 and 7. Chapters 8 and 9 describe the study of bimolecular interactions with biosensing FETs. Chapters 10–13 deal with advanced FET structures available in various shapes, materials such as nanowire, HFET, and their comparison in terms of device performance metrics calculation. Chapters 14–18 describe different application-specific VLSI design techniques and challenges for analog and digital circuit designs. Chapter 19 explains the VLSI testability issues with the description of simulation and its categorization into logic and fault simulation for test pattern generation using Verilog HDL. Chapter 20 deals with a secured VLSI design with hardware obfuscation by hiding the IC’s structure and function, which makes it much more difficult to reverse engineer.

It also examines in depth freight railway systems transporting conventional loads, heavy loads, and dangerous goods. For each system, the text provides a definition; an overview of its evolution and examples of good practice; the main design, construction, and operational characteristics; and the preconditions for its selection. Additionally, it offers a general overview of safety, interfaces with the environment, forces acting on the track, and techniques that govern the stability and guidance of railway vehicles. This new edition brings two new chapters. One concerns pre-feasibility studies of urban rail projects, and the other analyses the operation of railway systems under specific weather conditions and natural phenomena. New material examines dilemmas, trends and innovations in rail freight transportation; a new definition for high-speed rail; a number of case studies; and an update of cutting-edge technologies. It is ideal for graduate students, engineers, consultants, manufacturers, and transport company executives who need a reference and guide.

Tripathi and published by NIIR PROJECT CONSULTANCY SERVICES. This book was released on 2022-06-15 with total page 488 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Handbook on Electric Vehicles Manufacturing (E- Car, Electric Bicycle, E- Scooter, E-Motorcycle, Electric Rickshaw, E- Bus, Electric Truck with Assembly Process, Machinery Equipments & Layout) An electric vehicle (EV) is one that is powered by an electric motor rather than an internal-combustion engine that burns a mixture of gasoline and gases to generate power. As a result, such a vehicle is being considered as a potential replacement for current-generation automobiles in order to solve issues such as:- a) Growing Pollution b) Global Warming, c) Natural Resource Depletion, and so on. Despite the fact that the concept of electric vehicles has been around for a long time, it has garnered a lot of attention in the last decade as a result of the rising carbon footprint and other environmental implications of gasoline-powered vehicles. The global electric vehicle market is expected to increase at a CAGR of 21.7 percent. Increased government investments in the development of electric vehicle charging stations and hydrogen fuelling stations, as well as buyer incentives, will provide chances for OEMs to increase their revenue stream and regional footprint. The EV market in Asia Pacific is expected to develop steadily due to increasing demand for low-cost, low-emission vehicles, whereas the market in North America and Europe is expected to rise quickly due to government initiatives and the growing high-performance passenger vehicle segment. India's flagship plan for boosting electric mobility is FAME, or Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of (Hybrid and) Electric Vehicles FAME Scheme has been authorized by the government, with 86 percent of overall budgetary support has been set aside for the Demand Incentive, which aims to increase demand for EVs throughout the country. This phase will support e-buses, e-3 wheelers, e-4 wheeler passenger cars and e-2 wheelers in order to build demand. The book covers a wide range of information related to the manufacture of electric vehicles. It includes E- Car, Electric Bicycle, E- Scooter, E-Motorcycle, Electric Rickshaw, E- Bus, Electric Truck with Assembly Process, contact information for machinery suppliers, Directory Section & Factory Layout. A detailed guide on the manufacturing and entrepreneurship of electric vehicles. This book serves as a one-stop shop for everything you need to know about the Electric Vehicle Manufacturing industry, which is rife with opportunities for startups, manufacturers, merchants, and entrepreneurs. This is the only book on the production of commercial electric vehicles. It's a veritable feast of how-to information, from concept through equipment acquisition.

Book Feasibility Study

Download or read book Feasibility Study written by T. G. Provenzano and published by . This book was released on 1965 with total page 72 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The design and fabrication of a high-intensity, 14-Mev neutron source which can be operated on a hoist platform on the 1500-ft BREN tower at the Nevada Test Site (NTS) has been determined to be feasible. Utilizing the T(d, n)-4He reaction, the source should be capable of producing, as a minimum, an average intensity of 10-13 neutrons/sec for periods up to 4 hr. The type and placement of power supplies, ion sources, targets, and vacuum equipment have been examined and a preliminary conceptual design completed. Control systems, testing procedures, and construction operations were studied and are presented. It is estimated that the neutron source will cost from 260,000 to 300,000, occupy approximately 400 ft-3, weigh approximately 7.5 tons and require about 10 months to complete.
