This book was released on 2015-08-04 with total page 388 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Excerpt from Genealogical Record of the Dedham Branch of the Avery Family in America In presenting these Records to those interested in the genealogy of the Avery family, as descended from Dr. William Avery of Dedham, Mass., the compilers wish to say that we do not offer it as a complete record of all the lines and branches formed by inter-marriages, yet we have endeavored to make perfectly accurate all to which we could obtain any clew. While we respect the feeling which would not hasten the close of a genealogical work, we still feel, that having availed ourselves of every source of information we have had presented to us, our work may properly be considered as finished, though, from the very nature of things, it is impossible to bring a genealogical record to a well-rounded close. In regard to facts and authentic records concerning the origin of our Dedham ancestor, Dr. William Avery, we are probably in possession of all that will ever be known, as investigations through the efforts of Mr. Walter Titus Avery, of New York city, have resulted in ascertaining his home to have been in Barkham, England, with the parish record of the baptisms of his three children there, and the wills - presumably, - of both his father and great-grandfather. With the great-grandfather - Robert Avery - we commence our genealogy, the latest generation given in our pages being the thirteenth from him. While we date from Robert Avery of Pill, Eng., as our earliest known ancestor, it may be proper to say that we have not undeniable - though strongly presumable - evidence that he was the great-grandfather of Dr. William Avery. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Just like any average seventeen-year-old, Twig loves her family. She has a caring mother and a controlling father. Her brothers and sisters are committed to her family’s prosperity… All one hundred eighty-three of them. Twig lives in the Family, a collective society located in the rainforest of Costa Rica. Family members coexist with values of complete openness and honesty, and they share a fear of contagious infection in the outside world. Adam—their Father, prophet, and savior—announces that Twig will be his new bride, and she is overjoyed and honored. But when an injury forces her to leave the Family compound, Twig finds that the world outside is not as toxic as she was made to believe. And then she meets Leo, an American boy with a killer smile, and begins to question everything about her life within the Family and the cult to which she belongs. But when it comes to Family, you don’t get a choice. Praise for The Family: “Fascinating and chilling, THE FAMILY takes you past the armed guards of a secluded compound where individualism is punished, technology is forbidden, and a charismatic leader plays God through terror and control. The novel’s relentless plot and vividly drawn characters will suck you in, but be warned: once you’re in the Family, it’s almost impossible to escape.” —Anna Schumacher, author of End Times “Eerie and suspenseful, Kennerson gives us a fascinating look into the psychology of cults and the meaning of Family.” —Bianca Turetsky, author of The Time-Traveling Fashionista
