Book The Gods Who Fell from the Sky

Download or read book The Gods Who Fell from the Sky written by Dick Mawson and published by Porcupine Press Trading Under Dgr Writing & Resear. This book was released on 2014-02 with total page 270 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Description of Book and About the Author: A soul that is afraid of dying has never learned to live ... This is the precept by which Dick Mawson has lived his adventurous life. He was born in England during the Second World War. With his parents he crash landed into southern Africa where he grew up. In the 1940's Douglas Bader lost both his legs in a plane crash. He taught himself to fly again with artificial legs, becoming a Squadron Leader in the RAF. He went on to fly with great distinction in the Battle of Britain. During the 1950's the world was not aware of another legless fighter living in southern Africa. His name was Richard Mawson, an eleven year old boy, who lost his right leg in a farm accident. A few years later a 100 mile per hour boat accident at the Victoria Falls changes the course of his life forever. With an amputated right leg and the left badly damaged his outlook was bleak, but with tenacity and a will to win instilled in his very being, he overrides his fears and the possibility of crippling himself for life. Reminiscent of the legless Squadron Leader Douglas Bader, Mawson has defied the odds and, as he says, 'broken the boundaries of the norm'. He was lured into a life of speed and competition on water and ultimately on the race tracks of southern Africa and Europe; competing against and defeating his fellow man on a level playing field. Mawson's memoirs take us at great pace through the difficulties he has faced and the tenacity with which he turned them into the foundations of his success - as man and racer.

Book excerpt: Most histories of astronomy start with Copernicus, Galileo and Columbus, But this text shows that in the colourful mythology of the ancients lay a surprisingly accurate understanding of celestial movements. A radical prefiguring of modern astronomy can be found throughout history. Two millennia before Columbus set sail for America, Pythagoras conceived the world was round. In 3rd century BC, Erasthones calculated the approximate size of the Earth, and long before Galileo's heretical science upset Christian orthodoxy, our 365.25 day calendar had been more or less finalized by Julius Ceaser as a variation on that of the Egyptians. Gods in the Sky is more than a history of astronomy, it explores the inextricable links in ancient civilization between astronomy and astrology, mythology, religion, philosophy, architecture, art, agriculture and navigation, to illuminate the history of the ancients.

Book More Star People Sky Gods And Other Paranormal Tales Of The Native American Indians

Download or read book More Star People Sky Gods And Other Paranormal Tales Of The Native American Indians written by G.W. Mullins and published by Light Of The Moon Publishing. This book was released on 2020-05-25 with total page 156 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: In Native American history, there are many legends about UFOs, gods, the paranormal and aliens. There has always been a connection between Native Americans and beings from other parts of the universe, referred to as Star People. Perhaps due to familiarity with celestial fixtures, it has been easier for Native Americans to relate events they have experienced on earth with things such as the formation of the Pleiades. It is not hard to believe they would identify an event with a star, being the nature and history of tribes was to exist outdoors. The night sky would be paid much more attention by one who did not live indoors. Through the many legends and tribes you can find instances where natives are either rescued or helped by gods or Star Beings. The Pleiades is the basis of the creation of the Hopi Indians. The Dakota also speak of 'the abode of the ancestors' or Tiyami as a place of their origin. Other native oral histories, or legends, speak of an origin, in the stars generally, or other constellations. The Cree did not originate from human beings but from people from the constellations who later became humans. While others like the Lakota tell stories of beings from the skies. Regardless of the tribe or the whether the interaction is through a god or star people, there is proof that the ancient people of North America believed they have been visited by unexplainable beings from the heavens and beyond. The stories in the collection tell of many different tribes and their experiences and the outcome of walking with these beings. From experiences with aliens, to the dead rising in spirit form, this book will cover a wide range of stories of the paranormal.

Book The Sacred Scriptures Vol II Part 1 2

Download or read book The Sacred Scriptures Vol II Part 1 2 written by Johannes Biermanski and published by Ebozon Verlag. This book was released on 2016-12-16 with total page 746 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The objective of “The Sacred Scriptures” by John Biermanski is to revoke all falsifications in today's Bibles known so far (in the Old and New Testament), and to restore the original state of the verses as far as possible. In the present work, you will find “The Acts of the Apostles” to “The Letter of Paul the Apostle to Philemon”, in which the verses are written in German and English, as well as an appendix with various elaborations and statements, etc. (see the table of contents). There is both a German and an English edition in which the attachments are available in the respective selected language. This is an English edition. The author was born in 1963 in North Rhine-Westphalia and completed a traineeship for wholesale and foreign trade in a pharmaceutical wholesale company. In the course of his professional development, he used to be a freelancer but was also officially employed; he has experienced a lot rises and falls throughout his life. While studying the Scriptures, he was led by the Spirit of the only God, the Almighty and the only Holy Father in heaven, whereas, by grace, he could recognize many things that are now presented as heresies to the world. In recent years he has been active in the proclamation of the Word of YAHWEH Elohim (G-d) in Europe, Canada, particularly in Brazil (South America), and has enlightened many people by his message, so that they get to know the true God, His holy name and His will and only obey Him (Exodus 20:2-11; Leviticus chapter 19 and 23 etc.) – and start to think about all this, i. e. “so that they finally decide themselves in favour of the living Elohim (G-d): YAHWEH, instead of against Him, and their names are not erased from the divine 'Book of Life' forever.”
