Download or read book God s Covenant Extinct or Extant written by Belo Alvaran and published by Ukiyoto Publishing. This book was released on 2021-03-27 with total page 455 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Why are there privileged people, mostly whites? God’s Covenant provides for it: • “Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the field,” said the LORD to a people who were mostly whites. Why are the whites being disenfranchised today in many places? God’s Covenant also provides for it: • “If you break my covenant, cursed shall you be in the city, and cursed shall you be in the field,” said the LORD. In God’s scheme of things, whites and non-whites have similar potentials. • “[Is he] the God of the Jews only? [is he] not also God of the Gentiles (i.e., non-Israelites)? Yes, he is God of the Gentiles also,” said the Apostle Paul • “The sons of the stranger (non-Israelites), that…take hold of my covenant…will I bring to my Holy Mountain and make them joyful…” said the LORD. Read in this book what privileges God reserves for whites and non-whites who take hold of his Covenant! Written in simple, intelligible everyday English for people of all ages, gender, color and nationalities!
Download or read book Ark of the Broken Covenant written by John Charles Kunich and published by Bloomsbury Publishing USA. This book was released on 2003-02-28 with total page 222 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Blending scientific and legal expertise, Kunich proves that a devastating ecological crisis is imminent or even underway already, and that conservation law has yet to catch up with biological science. He challenges readers with a hotspots wager, arguing that he have vastly more to gain than lose by legally protecting biological hotspots, and that foregoing them in favor of the relatively minor and immediate returns arising from their devastation is both foolish and, ultimately, dangerous. Legal thought lags behind modern science in focusing on and setting priorities for global conservation. An extinction spasm is imminent, many scientists argue, due to the ongoing global devastation of biological hotspots, home to a disproportionate share of all life forms, including perhaps millions of unknown species. These hotspots have already lost 88 percent of their primary vegetation and are likely to lose much more, yet few legal measures exist to protect them. Environmental legal protections are often incomprehensive and feebly enforced. Even worse, 62 percent of all hotspots are unprotected. Kunich provides a brief history and science of extinction. He discusses the importance of saving species from extinction and analyzes the legal measures directed toward preserving biodiversity in nations that harbor hotspots.

Download or read book Religion in the Anthropocene written by Celia Deane-Drummond and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2018-01-01 with total page 364 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Religion in the Anthropocene charts a new direction in humanities scholarship through serious engagement with the geopolitical concept of the Anthropocene. Drawing on religious studies, theology, social science, history, philosophy, and what can be broadly termed as environmental humanities, this collection represents a groundbreaking critical analysis of diverse narratives on the Anthropocene. The contributors to this volume recognize that the Anthropocene began as a geological concept, the age of the humans, but that its implications are much wider than this. Does the Anthropocene idea challenge the possibility of a sacred Nature, or is it a secularized theological anthropology more properly dealt with through traditional concepts from Roman Catholic social teaching on human ecology? Not all contributors to this volume agree about the answers to these and many more different questions. Readers will be challenged, provoked, and stimulated by this book.
