Book Looking at God s Appointment Calendar

Download or read book Looking at God s Appointment Calendar written by Carl M. McConchie and published by WestBow Press. This book was released on 2023-08-25 with total page 195 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Pastor McConchie believes that when individuals begin to seek God, He very often sets up an appointment whereby a servant of God is sent to meet with that person.. In this writing Pastor McConchie comments in detail concerning three stories which are presented in the book of Acts. Philip is sent to a high ranking Ethiopian official. Peter is sent to a Roman Centurion and Paul is sent to a woman from Thyatira whose name is Lydia. The Ethiopian, the Centurion and the business woman all have one thing in common. They are all seeking to worship God before God's servant arrives on the scene. Pastor McConchie also shares with us some of his own experiences in Belarus in which he has had a very strong sense that the Lord has set up an appointment for him with someone who is ready to know more about Him. In the last section of the book Pastor McConchie looks to the future with a brief study of the book of Revelation. What about the 144,000 people of Israel who have come to know Christ, how does that happen?

Download or read book Biblical Spirituality written by Christopher W. Morgan and published by Crossway. This book was released on 2019-06-24 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: What is spirituality? For some, it means nothing more than vague self-improvement pulled from the latest best-selling self-help book. For others, it refers to some generic religious practice. Shedding life-giving light on what often remains ill-defined and unclear, this book sets forth a vision of biblical spirituality—“a renewed sense of the momentousness of being alive in God’s world as God’s people are led by God’s Spirit through God’s Word unto godly, Christlike character.” With careful exegetical work and theological reflection, the contributors—pastors and scholars such as Christopher W. Morgan, Paul R. House, Nathan A. Finn, and Gregg R. Allison—address spirituality from the perspective of the Bible, exploring topics such as the Trinity, divine sovereignty and human responsibility, the “already” and “not yet,” and the church. This book also addresses practical questions about spirituality related to the workplace, disciplines of the body, and more.

Book God s Appointment

  • Author : Damion Clarke
  • Publisher :
  • Release : 2019-10-31

  • Pages : 138 pages

Download or read book God s Appointment written by Damion Clarke and published by . This book was released on 2019-10-31 with total page 138 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: God has been appointing leaders and workers in His vineyard for as far back as men can remember; it is not something that you work for, purchase your way to, or devise to achieve, but it is something God bestows easily and freely on those whom He deems fit, and those who are able to undertake the task at hand for a specific period in time. This book looks at how God has appointed different individuals at different periods in time to have undertaken different tasks; it has been plainly presented how He has chosen some individuals that men would not have chosen or recommended. God has used many individuals who were very inexperienced and they have done a marvelous job. This book posits that God doesn't necessarily call, choose and appoint those who are qualified, because none of us is qualified to work for Him, but He qualifies the call because the work is all about Him, and nothing about us.As you peruse the pages of this little friendly book you will become encouraged that God can choose to appoint you any day, because God does not appoint as men do; God looks at your heart, while men look at your qualifications. You will recognize that when God chooses someone He doesn't use him/her as a robot; he/she is free to choose to listen to and follow Him. It is very saddening to know that many of those God had chosen have failed miserably, but there are lots of others who have walked before Him with a perfect heart and brought glory to Him. This book is for everyone who is a leader in whatever form, shape or institution, and capacity; it is also for those who desire to be leaders.

Book How to Find Follow Fulfill God s Will

Download or read book How to Find Follow Fulfill God s Will written by Andrew Wommack and published by Destiny Image Publishers. This book was released on 2013-04-09 with total page 216 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Have you ever wondered what you were created to do? You may think you have an idea, but aren't positive that you are fulfilling the purpose for which God created you. First of all, you have to find the unique purpose that He created you for. In his new book, Andrew Wommack teaches you how to do just that. Once you find the will of God for your life, then you will have the assurance and joy that comes from knowing exactly where God wants you to be. As you follow the will of God for your life, it allows you to set goals and purposely seek after what God has created you to do. Andrew teaches you that the number one way that we learn to follow God's will is to simply put God first. When you put Him first then the desire of your heart changes to match up with His. Lastly, Andrew teaches how to fulfill the will of God in your life. It's one thing to find God's will and start moving in the right direction, but it's something else to stay at it over the long haul. Anybody can start, but it's the people who finish that really make a difference. Finishing is more important than starting, and it is only through faith and patience that you inherit God's promises.

Book excerpt: This story chronicles the humble beginnings of two people who met and submitted to God's direction for their lives. Their choices and decisions took them farther along the path God designed. Dick (through journal entries and other writings) and Anita write to convey God's movement in their lives through this chronology, Divine Appointment. Their biographical account traces life experiences that brought them to the Trinity River Bridge one cold Wednesday morning, 1989. On that bridge their lives intersected with a dead, mangled man. There, God prompted Dick to pray a miraculous, life-saving prayer for Don Piper. His book, 90 Minutes in Heaven, is the story of Don's miraculous return to life after the fatal accident. Coincidence did not intersect three lives that day, God did. When Dick and Anita happened upon the horrific accident scene, it was God's Divine Appointment, orchestrated by His hand.
