But they soon learn that a coven of witches is also seeking the cross in order to resurrect their leader, Serilda, who was burned at the stake during the Revolutionary War. Now they must locate the cross before the coven can bring back Serilda to exact her fatal revenge on Sleepy Hollow.

This compilation delves into the complexities of human nature and its concomitant impact on civilizational constructs and organising principles of society, where affirmative change appears increasingly elusive, when successive generations perpetuate parochially, the vicious cycle of thoughtless traditions, senseless acts and mindless intents that hurt the progress of liberalism and peace, globally.

Download or read book Collective and Collaborative Drawing in Contemporary Practice written by Helen Gørrill and published by Cambridge Scholars Publishing. This book was released on 2018-01-23 with total page 336 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Whilst both collective and collaborative drawing is being widely explored internationally, both within and beyond educational institutions, there is surprisingly little serious research published on the topic. This realisation led to the first international Drawing Conversations Symposium, accompanied by the Drawn Conversations Exhibition at Coventry University, UK, in December 2015. The two events drew a strong and global response, and brought together a wide range of participants, including academics, artists, researchers, designers, architects and doctoral students. This book considers what happens, and how, when people draw together either in the form of a collaboration, or through a collective process. The contributions here serve to establish the field of collective and collaborative drawing as distinct from the types of drawing undertaken by artists, designers, and architects within a professional context. The volume covers conversations through the act of drawing, collaborative drawing, drawing communities, and alternative drawing collaborations.
Download or read book Muthos written by Loren D. Marsh and published by Vandenhoeck & Ruprecht. This book was released on 2021-04-12 with total page 213 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book presents a new analysis of Aristotle's concept of narrative in the Poetics. Arguing that the term muthos in the Poetics cannot be understood as equivalent to "plot," Marsh shows that the muthos concept is instead a useful tool for grouping larger sets of narratives based on specific criteria. The results of this muthos analysis indicate that in the classical period, neither formal structure nor the structure of events was determined by theatrical genre, but by the specific combination of tone and plot type. Marsh concludes that the category of genre itself may be less helpful for classifying these plays than is typically assumed.

Anekwe, a renowned doctor, about the ramifications of isolating a gene that causes violent behavior Dr. Regina Dickerson is a Catholic physician in San Diego who has discovered that there is a certain genetic marker that indicates the carrier is prone to psychotic violence. Working on blood from prison inmates, her theory begins to prove itself time and again with violent offenders. The variety of crimes is diverse: one couple murders their children for organ money, another man kidnaps young girls to seduce and kill them, yet another has a penchant for cyanide.
