Book George Foreman s Indoor Grilling Made Easy

Download or read book George Foreman s Indoor Grilling Made Easy written by George Foreman and published by Simon and Schuster. This book was released on 2008-06-16 with total page 226 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: From George Foreman, two-time heavy-weight champion of the world and one of the greatest salesmen of all time, his cookbook written specifically for his fabulous, indoor grills. From dorm rooms and first apartments to suburban homes and four-star restaurants, the George Foreman grill is one of America's most popular small kitchen appliances. As a world-class athlete and father of ten, George Foreman is focused on fresh, healthy foods that keep him and his family strong. Between kids, careers, and a heavyweight training schedule, the Foremans are a big, constantly-in-motion family. Getting dinner on the table could be an endurance event, but instead of going ten rounds in the kitchen, George Foreman has perfected fast and easy, and he passes on his strategy in George Foreman's Indoor Grilling Made Easy. Here are more than 100 recipes that speak to the reason everyone buys the indoor grill in the first place: easy dishes filled with big, bold flavor for healthy food fast. From breakfast foods to snacks, entrées, side dishes, and even desserts made on the grill, this is food to satisfy the young, the not-so-young, and everyone in between. Most recipes are naturally lower in carbohydrates (after all, George is a carnivore of some note), but some have choice carbs to fuel heavy training days. In addition to the recipes, there are plenty of flavor-enhancing ideas—marinades, spice rubs, and sauces—for simple cuts of fish, beef, pork, and chicken. You'll also find insider info on how to make perfect grilled veggies every time. George Foreman's Indoor Grilling Made Easy even includes finger foods for a party and a Thanksgiving dinner made on the grill. Portions feed a family of four but can easily be downsized for those living on their own (or doubled for Foreman-sized families).

Book Du Pont Dynasty

Download or read book Du Pont Dynasty written by Gerard Colby and published by Open Road Media. This book was released on 2014-09-16 with total page 727 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Award-winning journalist Gerard Colby takes readers behind the scenes of one of America’s most powerful and enduring corporations; now with a new introduction by the author Their name is everywhere. America’s wealthiest industrial family by far and a vast financial power, the Du Ponts, from their mansions in northern Delaware’s “Chateau Country,” have long been leaders in the relentless drive to turn the United States into a plutocracy. The Du Pont story in this country began in 1800. Éleuthère Irénée du Pont, official keeper of the gunpowder of corrupt King Louis XVI, fled from revolutionary France to America. Two years later he founded the gunpowder company that called itself “America’s armorer”—and that President Wilson’s secretary of war called a “species of outlaws” for war profiteering. Du Pont Dynasty introduces many colorful characters, including “General” Henry du Pont, who profited from the Civil War to build the Gunpowder Trust, one of the first corporate monopolies; Alfred I. du Pont, betrayed by his cousins and pushed out of the organization, landing in social exile as the powerful “Count of Florida”; the three brothers who expanded Du Pont’s control to General Motors, fought autoworkers’ right to unionize, and then launched a family tradition of waging campaigns to destroy FDR’s New Deal regulatory reforms; Governor Pete du Pont, who ran for president and backed Newt Gingrich’s 1994 Republican Revolution; and Irving S. Shapiro, the architect of Du Pont’s ongoing campaign to undermine effective environmental regulation. From plans to force President Roosevelt from office, to munitions sales to warlords and the rising Nazis, to Freon’s damage to the planet’s life-protecting ozone layer, to the manufacture of deadly gases and the covered-up poisoning of Du Pont workers, to the reputation the company earned for being the worst polluter of America’s air and water, the Du Pont reign has been dappled with scandal for centuries. Culled from years of painstaking research and interviews, this fully documented book unfolds like a novel. Laying bare the bitter feuds, power plays, smokescreens, and careless unaccountability that erupted in murder, Colby pulls back the curtain on a dynasty whose formidable influence continues to this day. Suppressed in myriad ways and the subject of the author’s landmark federal lawsuit, Du Pont Dynasty is an essential history of the United States.

Book The Carnivore Diet

Download or read book The Carnivore Diet written by Shawn Baker and published by Victory Belt Publishing. This book was released on 2019-11-19 with total page 224 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Shawn Baker’s Carnivore Diet is a revolutionary, paradigm-breaking nutritional strategy that takes contemporary dietary theory and dumps it on its head. It breaks just about all the “rules” and delivers outstanding results. At its heart is a focus on simplicity rather than complexity, subtraction rather than addition, making this an incredibly effective diet that is also easy to follow. The Carnivore Diet reviews some of the supporting evolutionary, historical, and nutritional science that gives us clues as to why so many people are having great success with this meat-focused way of eating. It highlights dramatic real-world transformations experienced by people of all types. Common disease conditions that are often thought to be lifelong and progressive are often reversed on this diet, and in this book, Baker discusses some of the theory behind that phenomenon as well. It outlines a comprehensive strategy for incorporating the Carnivore Diet as a tool or a lifelong eating style, and Baker offers a thorough discussion of the most common misconceptions about this diet and the problems people have when transitioning to it.

Book Pre incident Indicators of Terrorist Incidents

Download or read book Pre incident Indicators of Terrorist Incidents written by Brent L. Smith and published by . This book was released on 2006 with total page 0 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Findings from the American Terrorism Study (NIJ grant #1999-IJCX-0005 and DHS/MIPT grant #lO6-113-2000-064) reveal that unlike traditional criminality, terrorists are much less spontaneous, engage in substantial planning activities, and commit ancillary and preparatory crimes in advance of a terrorist incident. Building on these findings, the goals of the current project were to determine whether (1) sufficient open source data exists to examine the temporal and spatial relationships that exist in terrorist group planning, and (2) if such data do exist, can patterns of routinized preparatory conduct be identified.

Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book comprises a national study of the explosives industry and provides a framework for identification of its industrial archaeology and social history. Few monuments of gunpowder manufacture survive in Britain from the Middle Ages, although its existence is documented. Late 17th-century water-powered works are identifiable but sparse. In the later 18th century, however, the industry was transformed by state acquisition of key factories, notably at Faversham and at Waltham Abbey. In the mid-19th century developments in Britain paralleled those in continental Europe and in America, namely a shift to production on an industrial scale related to advances in armaments technology. The urgency and large-scale demands of the two world wars brought state-directed or state-led solutions to explosives production in the 20th century. Yhe book’s concluding section looks at planning, preservation, conservation and presentation in relation to prospective future uses of these sites.
