Download or read book Alemania written by Julio Camba and published by Editorial Renacimiento. This book was released on 2012-11-07 with total page 177 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle.

Book Gaban

Download or read book Gaban written by Premchand, and published by OUP India. This book was released on 2002-10-10 with total page 309 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Gaban, first published in 1931, five years before Premchand's death, gives us a fascinating glimpse of north Indian society, and especially of the author's own Kayasth community. But this novel also serves to put forth his own deeply-held views of the ills of that society - the insatiable love of its women for personal adornment, its failure to create fulfilling marriage relationships, and its moral corruption. This is a felicitous translation by Christopher R. King and will enable many readers to appreciate Premchand's important novel, available for the first time in English

Book A Grammar of Warrongo

Download or read book A Grammar of Warrongo written by Tasaku Tsunoda and published by Walter de Gruyter. This book was released on 2011-12-23 with total page 783 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Warrongo is an extinct Australian Aboriginal language that used to be spoken in northeast Australia. This volume is largely based on the rich data recorded from the last fluent speaker. It details the phonology, morphology and syntax of the language. In particular, it provides a truly scrutinizing description of syntactic ergativity - a phenomenon that is rare among the world's language. It also shows that, unlike some other Australian languages, Warrongo has noun phrases that are configurational. Overall this volume shows what can be documented of a language that has only one speaker.
