Key influences of this research include current demands in the area of early intervention strategies, workshop training based on the IPG Model, and professional development through Hamline University's Certification in ASD. This research explores literature reviewing the development of play, the importance of play, and play in ASD. Methodologies include an interview with Pamela Wolfberg and controlled observations in both teachers' classrooms. Based on the data the teachers collected they identified four fundamental components. The components include: a team approach, goals for which the child is at in her or his developmental stage, a natural occurring play situation, and peer coaching.
