Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: It is clear we are in the middle of a crisis and that at the same time there are good possibilities available to us. The evolution of humanity is at a turning point. The perceived "right way" to do things has been anything but. Seeing individuals as only that, and not also as part of a larger whole, has gotten us where we are today. We need new human technologies that respectfully and effectively bridge the arc from outdated paradigms to emerging new awareness. Focalizing Dynamic Links is presented as such a technology, bringing a conscious intention to relationship so that the energy shared and exchanged is for the good of each person, and for the good of us all. As such, it provides the opportunity for connecting and communicating in a new way, effecting transformation through our institutions and organizations. Dynamic Linking provides a bigger picture of "now" along with points of projection that can help participants to sense the way things might be. "Focalizing Dynamic Links describe a simple process for optimizing our potential in becoming mature and responsible human beings in our relationships with one another and our home, planet Earth. The authors have created a formula for living and working together consciously." - John Renesch, author The Great Growing Up: Being Responsible for Humanity's Future San Francisco CA "Focalizing Dynamic Links demonstrates how dissolving the barrier to real communication unleashes our power and resilience drawing additional positive energies into relationships and organizations. This dynamic interplay is a guiding light in creating happier, more sustainable lives. A book that describes a potent new human technology; Great!" - Jennifer McCrea, author The Generosity Network New York, NY "I love this new book! The authors have successfully explained both the essence and dynamics of Focalizing and that of Dynamic Linking. Through these new human technologies we learn to feel with both our senses and our awareness just how intimate we already are with our non-visible partner, Source Energy. Playing in this limitless field of possibilities an organic process expresses a naturally creative emergence of inner wisdom, creativity and elevated sense of just feeling wonderful." - Shabd Sangeet Khalsa, Botanist Fairbanks Alaska "Focalizing Dynamic Links is an incredible, simple, and beautiful introduction to a new form of engagement with others and in turn, a new plane of reality. There is no hyperbole here. The ideas in this book will open you up to a world of possibility, wonder, and magic." - Sam Faeder, Athlete, Millennial Entrepreneur Brooklyn NY Focalizing Dynamic Links is the second in a series of three books about the human technology of Focalizing. The first, Focalizing Source Energy, provides a means for transcending talk therapy with a no-shame, no-blame, right-here, right-now healing method. Dr. Picucci is currently writing the final book in the series.

Book Emerging Ritual in Secular Societies

Download or read book Emerging Ritual in Secular Societies written by Jeltje Gordon-Lennox and published by Jessica Kingsley Publishers. This book was released on 2017-02-21 with total page 256 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The growing absence of meaningful ritual in contemporary Western societies has led to cohesive research on the history of ritualizing behaviour in different cultures. The relatively new field of ritology, which includes neuroscience, anthropology, cultural psychology, psychotherapy and even art and performance, raises questions about the significance and practice of ritual today. This book is the first of its kind to discuss the importance of secular rituals for cultural and personal growth. Using a transdisciplinary approach, a range of contributors provide an authoritative account of the science and history of rituals and their role in creating healthy societies in the modern age.

Book Laser Pulses

Download or read book Laser Pulses written by Igor Peshko and published by BoD – Books on Demand. This book was released on 2012-10-17 with total page 562 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This book discusses aspects of laser pulses generation, characterization, and practical applications. Some new achievements in theory, experiments, and design are demonstrated. The introductive chapter shortly overviews the physical principles of pulsed lasers operation with pulse durations from seconds to yoctoseconds. A theory of mode-locking, based on the optical noise concept, is discussed. With this approximation, all paradoxes of ultrashort laser pulse formation have been explained. The book includes examples of very delicate laser operation in biomedical areas and extremely high power systems used for material processing and water purification. We hope this book will be useful for engineers and managers, for professors and students, and for those who are interested in laser science and technologies.

Book Poetic Community

Download or read book Poetic Community written by Stephen Voyce and published by University of Toronto Press. This book was released on 2013-01-01 with total page 369 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Poetic Community examines the relationship between poetry and community formation in the decades after the Second World War. In four detailed case studies (of Black Mountain College in North Carolina, the Caribbean Artists Movement in London, the Women's Liberation Movement at sites throughout the US, and the Toronto Research Group in Canada) the book documents and compares a diverse group of social models, small press networks, and cultural coalitions informing literary practice during the Cold War era. Drawing on a wealth of unpublished archival materials, Stephen Voyce offers new and insightful comparative analysis of poets such as John Cage, Charles Olson, Adrienne Rich, Kamau Brathwaite, and bpNichol. In contrast with prevailing critical tendencies that read mid-century poetry in terms of expressive modes of individualism, Poetic Community demonstrates that the most important literary innovations of the post-war period were the results of intensive collaboration and social action opposing the Cold War's ideological enclosures.

Book Psychological and Social Structures

Download or read book Psychological and Social Structures written by Sandor B. Brent and published by Taylor & Francis. This book was released on 2020-09-10 with total page 331 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Originally published in 1984, this work is organised in three parts. Each part consists of several related chapters. Each chapter explores the assumptions and implications of a closely related group of concepts in depth. Part 1 explores what a structure is. It considers such notions as content, context, constraint, unity, integrity, and the hierarchical and nucleate forms of organization. Part 2 critically explores the dynamic (energic) conceptualization of psychological and social phenomena. Thus, this part considers such notions as energy, entropy, activity, confirmation, discrepancy, and resistance, as they apply to and affect the stability, activity, and changes observed in psychological and social structures. The relationship among the biological (metabolic), psychological, and social levels of analysis are explored from a rather simplified thermodynamic point of view. In Part 3 brings all these earlier considerations to bear upon the processes by which these structures grow and develop. It explores the concept of development itself, and such related issues as the levels-by-stages model of development, the distinction between intrastructural and intergenerational development, the orthogenic principles, the process of primordial differentiation and integration, development as a dialectical process, and the relationship between growth and development. The Epilogue indicates briefly some of the implications of the present thesis for future empirical and theoretical investigations.
