Book The Use of Ferrites at Microwave Frequencies

Download or read book The Use of Ferrites at Microwave Frequencies written by L. Thourel and published by Elsevier. This book was released on 2016-10-27 with total page 115 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The Use of Ferrites at Microwave Frequencies describes the applications of ferrites at microwave frequencies and the apparatus involved. Topics covered range from the properties of ferrites to gyromagnetic and non-reciprocal effects, ferrite isolators, circulators, and modulators. The use of ferrites in variable frequency filter cavities is also discussed. Mathematical explanations are reduced to the strict minimum and only the results of calculations are indicated. This book consists of seven chapters and opens with a review of the theory of magnetism, touching on subjects such as the BOHR magneton, diamagnetism and paramagnetism, ferromagnetism and antiferromagnetism, ferrimagnetism, and demagnetizing. The next chapter deals with the elementary theory of gyromagnetic effects and covers the kinetic moment theorem, precession of the spin moment, gyromagnetic resonance, complex permeability, and gyromagnetic effects in the atom. The reader is then introduced to ferrites and their properties; non-reciprocal effects and their applications; and ferrite isolators, circulators, and modulators. The final chapter describes the use of ferrites in the design of cavities whose resonant frequency is controlled by a magnetic field or filters with variable characteristics. This monograph is written primarily for microwave and electronics engineers.

Book On the Use of Magnetostatic Modes for Measuring Saturation Magnetization of Ferrimagnetic Materials

Download or read book On the Use of Magnetostatic Modes for Measuring Saturation Magnetization of Ferrimagnetic Materials written by Benjamin R. Capone and published by . This book was released on 1964 with total page 20 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: The use of magnetostatic modes as a research tool has been suggested. Attempts to utilize this phenomenon for measuring the saturation magnetization of pure YIG samples and gallium substituted YIG samples show this method to be quite accurate for the narrow line width pure YIG material. However, in the measurement of gallium substituted YIG samples, difficulties were encountered in mode identification and interpretation of data. (Author).

Book Microwave Materials for Wireless Applications

Download or read book Microwave Materials for Wireless Applications written by David B. Cruickshank and published by Artech House. This book was released on 2011 with total page 245 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: This practical resource offers you an in-depth, up-to-date understanding of the use of microwave magnetic materials for cutting-edge wireless applications. The book discusses device applications used in wireless infrastructure base stations, point-to-point radio links, and a range of more specialized microwave systems. You find detailed discussions on the attributes of each family of magnetic materials with respect to specific wireless applications. Moreover, the book addresses two of the hottest topics in the field today OCo insertion loss and intermodulation. This comprehensive reference also covers ancillary materials that are used with microwave magnetic materials, such as dielectrics, absorbers, and conductors."

Book Electromagnetic Materials

Download or read book Electromagnetic Materials written by Hock Lim and published by World Scientific. This book was released on 2003 with total page 290 pages. Available in PDF, EPUB and Kindle. Book excerpt: Electromagnetic materials have both civilian and defence applications, such as novel antenna designs and protection against high power transients in densely packed printed circuits. For certain applications, the materials may be required to have special frequency response or polarization response to meet the component or system specifications. An in-depth understanding of the responses of materials to electromagnetic waves may even enable us to design and fabricate materials with properties not found in nature. This book constitutes the proceedings of the Symposium on Electromagnetic Materials, which provided a forum for scientists and engineers to report the latest research findings, to exchange ideas and information, and to establish research links.

Book Microwave Engineering
